2 reservations advice please

One person should check in at Pop to make sure everything gets activated; use the magic band to go into the room at least once and put a few things out to make it look like you're staying there.

So bring an extra toothbrush (like one you've got lying around to clean grout or something) and a few odds and ends. Maybe a duffel bag.

Everyone else should head to POFQ. The person who went to Pop to check in can then join the others at POFQ.

There was another post here where someone got a great suite off-site but wanted to keep their on-site reservation for the package, dining and tickets. Most people mentioned that their on-site reservation might get cancelled if it was obvious no one entered the room. So, you might want to have someone go to Pop every day to mess up the room, lol.

You are paying FULL price for your POP room to get Free Dining but also paying to stay at POFQ?

Is your POFQ room highly discounted? Are there enough in your party to come out ahead?

Pop was just under $4000 for 10 nights, free dining, park hoppers for 4 Disney Adults.

Pofq is $103 to $106 per night on priceline.

Total trip with 2 hotels booked is over $1000 cheaper then a package

WOW, that seems very low for POFQ even on a third party rate. Good for you.

Just to warn you, it is not unheard of for Disney to cancel a reservation if they notice a guest has booked at 2 resorts for the same time period. It was a while ago, but one guest went to use dining plan credits, but found that room had been dubbed abandoned, and the package cancelled.

The other poster this week decided that they would use the package room for daily naps. You can not just have an empty, unused room. It will be cancelled, I believe.

The room is only 103 bucks with all those people on the reservation? Really! I want that. Hope you don't end up with a king size bed when you get to FQ.

It is 1 real adult and three children over the age of 10. We will check in at both places in person to be on the safe side.

Disney Adults usually refers to 10 years and older in regards to passes and dining. Still no extra room fee until 18.

Good point, but when using it on the context of a hotel reservation I figured it meant resort adult.

Ah.
