2 refill mugs for split stay?

Hi to all, I was wondering if we are staying at two different disney resorts and we want to participate in the refill-mug program do we have to buy mugs for each resort. That would mean we would have to spend aprox. $60 (2 mugs for 3 people at $10 each) for a 7 day stay. Does that make sense?

We did that last year when we split our stay between Caribbean Beach and the Grand Floridian resorts. We actually spent about $80 because there are 4 of us I like the mugs and we use them at home sometimes, so we didn't mind buying 2 sets. It's all up to you, you don't have to buy the mugs, but you're not supposed to use the mugs from one resort at another resort.

Yes you do have to buy different mugs for each resort - or least you are supposed to. I was reading an earlier post from you that says you are spending 3 days at AKL and 5 at BC? I might not purchase a mug for the 3 day stay if you don't think you'll get your money's worth. Either way, they make great mugs to take home!

yes unfortunately each hotel has there own mug, and you must have that one, to participate in each program. However we have brought our mugs back, so then next year you can use the same mug.

I can see where we'll go to the OPR for our refills while we're at CBR but where would you get refills at YC (our 2nd part) since they don't have a food court?

I am wondering the same thing too about the YC. My guess would be Beaches & Cream at the BC???

Most of the WDW Resorts have a "Refillable Mug" program in their food court area (aka Fast Food-Counter Service). You purchase a mug for around $9.00 and are entitled to "free" or less expensive (79 cents usually) refills for the duration of your stay. The refills are available from the beverage dispensers and usually include: coffee, sodas, ice tea, and hot chocolate. No other purchase is required to get your mug or your refills.
The mugs have the hotel logo on them and signs state that they are for use at that hotel. There does not seem to be a policy about reusing your mugs on a subsequent trip (see Guest comments below).

For an avid coffee or soda drinker, especially with the 'free' refills, you can't beat it.

The table below outlines the refillable mugs available at the resorts and the purchase as well as refill price. Be sure to add 6% tax to the purchase price.

We had a split stay between ASMU/CONTEMPORARY last summer. We checked into CR pretty late at night and headed for food court. Kids had their ASMU mugs from the car and of habit carried them into food court. The manager was working the register and smiled and told the kids those are really great mugs, but for this hotel these are even better and gave them 2 new ones free!!!!They ran to the slurpee machine with those. We tried to pay for those with our 2 additional mugs for ourselves and he said please no...our pleasure!!!!!!!!What a wonderful way to begin our visit at the CR. I did see many people using other resort mugs there tho, and at the pool side lounge as well.
