2 "real" beds in any studios?

Are there 2 real beds (not sofa beds) in any of the DVC studios besides Old Key West? Specifically wondering about Boardwalk Villas. Thanks!

No. Only OKW. Some BWV studios have a VERY small bed (more like a bench) that a small child could sleep on, in addition to the queen bed and full size sofa bed.

Our guide told us that we only have to ask to have two beds in a studio rather than a bed and a sofa bed, apparently they can do this.

HUH??? I've never heard of this! The only place you will get two "real" beds in a studio is if you get a studio at OKW.

That's just not true. If you want two beds in a WDW DVC resort studio, your reservation better be at OKW!

Best wishes -

I used to run a convention. We'd take some of the hotel's regular rooms and turn them into convention space by removing beds and moving things around. It cost us $500 a room for a reset like this - its really a difficult proposition - they move the mattresses for the beds (or in this case the sofa bed) into storage and move different furniture (in our case rental tables) in. Normally, paint touchups would be required after we left - its almost impossible to move out a mattress without dinging the walls! I would really doubt a timeshare - which isn't set up to deal with the whims of a convention business - would do this.

All DVC studios have two beds - its just that except at OKW the second bed is a sofa bed. There are people who bring aerobeds to put on top of the sofa bed mattress. You can also ask for a peice of eggshell foam (not in limitless supply apparently).

I'm wondering if Lisa1976's guide said somthing like "You can get two beds in the 2nd bedroom" Referring of course, to dedicated vs. lock-off at resorts that have dedicated units.

Chuck.... I am pretty sure BWV does not have any dedicated units.

Lisa1976.... I am really sorry your guide told you that, and in fact if that is what he told you and it was not a misunderstand he should be reprimanded as DVC guides are not supposed to use tactics like that to sell DVC.

We were already members. We met up with our guide (as we had only ever spoken to him on the phone) whilst we were there in January. We said that one of the reasons we bought in was so that we could bring family and friends with us. He said rather than waste extra points on a 1br / 2br that we could ask for two beds in a studio. Just telling you what he told me, sorry to cause any arguments. It doesn't bother me as you say you still have two beds, one of those is a sofa.

So in the studio that I have reserved at the Boardwalk, when I check in I will find 1 queen bed and one sofa bed, correct? :scratchin

Agree only OKW has 2 beds.
And VB Inn rooms, but not studios, have 2 queens also though I know the OP was specifically about WDW.

As others have noted, you either misunderstood or were given incorrect information. Early on DVC did tell members they could get roll aways but that option had evaporated by the time it opened. There's no argument, you were just reporting what you heard as many of us have and at times the info has not been completely correct. Don't sweat it.

The OP was going to check again with her guide for clarification. Have you had that talk with him yet, Lisa? I hope you come back to tell us what you found out.
