1. If we bring on board our own wine and have it opened by the server on our first night, do we have to finish it that night or will the server be able to carry it over to the other nights. Neither DH nor I have more than 1 glass with dinner usually. A 1.5 litre bottle should last us 3 nights.

2. Dh and I have cruised before and know that we don't get seasick. I am wondering if I should bring something for my sons, just in case, and if so, what product? Are there any preventative, natural products for sea sickness?

Thanks!

On 1. I cannot see why not. I have had the wine package and carried it over, and also had it taken to my room. If you pay the corking fee you should obtain the full service.

On 2. Not being a Doctor or pharmacist, I wouldn't like to suggest anything, bar going to these for advice, and not acting on any suggestion on an Internet board when it comes to tablets for kids.

However the natural remedy for sickness is to go up on deck, get lots of fresh air, look at the widest perspective of the horizon, ie across not down, eat light and drink water.

Seasickness is caused when conflicting signals go to the Brain. Your ears detect movement, but looking at walls your eyes say, I know walls do not move. So you have to ''inform'' your Brain what is going on, and let it work it all out, so the fresh air, and looking at the horizon help.

The ships are fully stabilized and whilst it occurs its rare for them to go into rough seas.

Others can confirm but I don't think you can take your own bottle into dinner and have them open it. You can however bring in a glass of wine that you brought from your room.

You can take a bottle to dinner and have them open it, and pay the corking fee.

The glass of wine, being taken to dinner is subject to great debate on many other threads, my personal view is I havent seen anywhere written down that it can be done, and basically its trying to 'avoid' paying the corking fee.

Actually the OP made me think of a great idea/question. Does anyone know if the corkage fee on a magnum of wine is the same as a 750ml? A Magnum would last us 2 meals and so only add $7.50/night.
