Been looking at the top of the bay lake tower, as it obviously has great views. But it says you must be a DVC member to book? Is there anyway around this as obviously watching the fireworks their one night would have been great.

Also, cant seem to find the dine with shamu package anywere, has this been cancelled?

I've not heard of anyone who isn't a DVC member being able to get access to the lounge at the top of BLT, but I think that was the point of making it DVC only - to give it some sort of exclusivity.

I have also just had a look on Seaworlds site and I, like you, couldn't find anything about the Dine with Shamu package. I haven't seen anything about them cancelling it but it certainly doesn't look like it's available at the moment.

Yes, you must be a DVC member staying on points at Bay Lake Tower to access the Top of the World lounge.

I couldn't find anything on the 'Dine with Shamu' package either :confused3

You could rent points from someone.

The lounge can only be accessed by a DVC member staying on points. Not someone renting points.
However i understand that some people who are renting points have been able to get in, but i wouldnt count on it.

The Dine with Shamu show was suspended after the death of the trainer earlier in the year and at the moment i dont believe they have confirmed if/when it will resume.

you can rent points from a dvc member to book bay lake towers, we've done this for my birthday in Jan and whilst we will not get access to the lounge at the top (because we're not dvc members) we do have two balconies and a magic kingdom view to watch the fireworks from

for us it worked out a very cheap way to stay somewhere special for one night, for a 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps 8 we paid somewhere in the £300 region :thumbsup2 and ok so it's only one night but for us that's soooo worth it ;)

Have dinner at the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary and use their observation deck - view is just as good. We have done both as we are DVC members.

We rented points for our stay in February this year. By the lifts there are HUGE glass windows on each floor. We watched the fireworks from there one night as they piped the music through. Was beautiful :goodvibes

It absolutely will be worth it - in my opinion you cannot beat the Magic Kingdom view from Bay Lake Tower :thumbsup2
