Does WDW offer a snowbird/seasonal rate? I haven't seen any mention of it. If not, are there any nice, close sites that do (and won't break the bank?).

2nd question, we are considering full-timing in a lightweight camping trailer. The only thing it is missing is space for laundry. Since I'm a tie-dye artist, that's important to my business, so I've been doing some creative thinking to come up with solutions. Obviously, I could go to a laundromat, but that would be a royal PITR and $$$, esp with having to do empty follow up washes to be sure the dye is all cleared. Someone suggested just strapping a washer/dryer to the bed of the pickup (under a covering, of course) and hooking them up to a generator to run them. THEN someone suggested setting up a separate tent area if we stop for any length of time and putting the washer/dryer/tie dye set up in there. The third option would be to convert part of my cargo trailer that I use for my business into "laundry room", but I'm guessing we'd have some plumbing/venting to do. I'd just fill the washer manually and drain the water to a barrel to be disposed of with the rest of the gray water, I presume...

No more seasonal rates, they did away with the Winter rates a couple of years ago.
I cant help you on the washer/dryer solution but I do know that some campgrounds if they see you using too much water/elect they will want to charge you extra. Some have posted about not using electric heaters. Wdw does not bother you though.

There are other forums that will probably have answers for you. The only one I can think of offhand is http://www.rv.net/community/

Camping at WDW is more expensive now that they've got the daily rates going. I haven't priced anything myself, but I believe you'll pay a different rate every day, with weekends and holidays being higher.

Good luck with whatever you decide! :grouphug:
