2 questions on DDE and DVC AP discount

OK, first question, is the DDE card good for a calendar year or 1 year from purchase? IE, we activate our AP and make first trip in October, 2nd trip in August of next year. Would we have to buy a new DDE card for each trip?

Has anyone found out if we can use our Disney Visa rewards to purchase the discounted AP's from member services???

from what i've gathered on the restaurant board, the DDE is good for one year from the month you bought it. so if you bought it today it would expire 1/31/06.

When I was on the dvcmember website to purchase PAP tickets, there was an option to put in your Visa Rewards card number, so I would think you could use it.
