2 questions for June trip

Does anyone know when the new restaurants will be open at DLH?

Also can you eat breakfast at Storytellers off the menu or do you have to do the character deal? We would like to just eat off the menu if possible so we can use the Grand Cal entrance to DCA (staying onsite) but don't want to have to do the character meal. Anyone know?

Kelly, I can answer the second part. My family always orders breakfast off the menu at Storyteller's (we aren't buffet people), and then we use our receipt at the DCA entrance.

I thought I had heard that but wasn't 100%. Do you think we prob need an ADR though since they have the charcter deal? Probably huh? Glad to know we can order off the menu as I too don't want to spend the money nor do I usually eat that much food at buffets. I am not a big breakfast eater. Usually just have a bowl of oatmeal or some toast LOL.

And we are staying at PP but that is a good idea if we are ever NOT staying on property in the future to use the receipt to get in

Guess no one knew the answer to my other question ??

You can order off the menu

I would make and ADR just in case...especially in June, but I mean you can always risk it!

As far as when they open, dont quote me on this but I hear beginning of June.

Someone posted in the comments (Comment 29) of the Disney Blog post about the DLH restaurants that they're supposed to open on May 15. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't actually open until early June (probably June 2nd to coincide with the media event for and official opening of the Little Mermaid ride).

As previous posters mentioned, you can order from the menu at Storytellers, but keep in mind that you will still be having a "character" breakfast (just one without eating at the buffet) because there will be characters wandering around the restaurant. The food is delicious, but the portions are big.

Storytellers is a character breakfast but you can order off the menu or choose the buffet. It's not 2 separate things (meaning the buffet people get characters and non buffet don't).
