2 Questions For Current DVCers

I am thinking of buying into DVC and am looking at somewhere in the region of 300 points at BWV. My questions are - what would be the maintainence on this amount of points and secondly what sort of II exchange would 300 points be worth?

Maintenance is $4.10 per point, roughly $1200 per year. Sorry, don't know the answer to your II question.

While it's technically true that 2003 BWV dues were $4.10/point, BWV owners only had/have to pay slightly over $4.00/point. Taxes were overestimated in 2002 so we got a credit that was approximately equal to $ .10 per point. Believe that was the case for all of the DVC resorts.

The point cost of an II exchange depends on the size of the unit and the season (low, medium or high).

A 1 bedroom exchange will be 124, 144 or 160 points and a 2 bedroom exchange will be 207, 252 or 270 points. You have to call MS for the point amounts if you want to exchange for studio accomodations or to find out the season. That varies, depending on the resort.

Forgot to mention that the points listed in my post above are for 7 nights. You have to do II exchanges for a whole week or in increments of whole weeks. You probably already knew that, but I wanted to make sure.
