Just booked another 3-day wonder cruise for May after my first time March 2003. I thought that there was some sort of on board credit for members of the castaway club. Is that something that they don't offer anymore? Does anyone know what benefits you get with castaway club?

Also, We are planning a 4-day land, 3-day sea package and are flying in and using strictly disney transfers to get from wdw to port etc... Is there anywhere around Orlando or the Port we can easily get to and buy some alcohol to carry on the cruise? We don't want to have to bring on the plane from home, and won't be able to drive ourselves anywhere like a convience store to purchase.

Also, any tips involving the land/sea package would be greatly appreciated.

Can't wait to cruise again....and to go to Disney World...my mom thinks I was around 2 years old when my family went to Disney, so it has been 30 years since I have been to WDW (it that possible, when did WDW open? ) Anyway, I of course don't remember a darn thing, so I will be just as excited to see WDW as my 4 year old daughter!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

WDW opened in 1971, so it's possible that it's been 30 years :)

Hi leslierx,

We are just getting ready to embark on our 2nd land and sea. We can't wait!

We have also been on a 7-day Eastern, and used Disney transfers for both trips. The transfers worked out great. On each trip, we flew in the night before and stayed an an MCO area hotel with points. The next day, we took the hotel shuttle back to the airport and checked in at the Disney desk. Very easy. The busses filled up quickly and we were on our way.

We stayed at the Poly for our first land and sea (also staying there this time). Back in '01, we took a bus to the AK on our transition morning and spent a few hours there. We were then able to take the bus to the port. As I said, very easy. However, DU tells us that option is not available any more, so we will be taking a 12:00 bus from the Poly to the port. Thur is an EE day for the MK, so we may hit a few attractions in the morning.

Let me know what other quesitons I can answer.

YOu receive the credit only if you rebook while onboard. The only benefit of being CC once you are back on land is the free stateroom gift and there's a castaway club party.

thanks everyone

on our first cruise we got a first time cruiser ship board credit.

I just applied for a disney credit card, but haven't received it yet, so can't use it to pay my deposit due this week and get the $50 credit.

Let me know if anyone knows of any other ways to get room credits.

Thanks!
