Hi, All! It has been a while sine I was here last but you all are so great you're the first ones I think of when I have a Disney Question. Well this time I have 2.

First, Has anyone ever stayed at Shades of Green? If so I have lots of questions for you! I won't take up space here though, e-mail if you'd like.

Second, Does anyone know how much of a discount you get on things in WDW (Like hotels mainly) with the Disney CLub Membership?

That's it for now, but If I get to go back (For the 5th time) I will probably have more questions!
Thanks,
Minnesota:cool:

Oops, this would actually be my 6th trip. Wow does time fly!

you are aware that SOG is under renovation starting April 1 and wont be open until Sept 2003. The CR north wing is being used until SOG is finished. What are some of your questions? maybe you can do a search? We did stay there before, and I would stay there again, especially after the renovation.
DC discounts depend on the time of year for hotel rooms. They also give discounts on tickets and some other things. Im sure there is a descrption of the benefits on the site somehere.

The DC resort discounts for 2002 stays vary between 10% and 20%, depending on the season and class of resort (deluxe, moderate or value).

For example, the DC will get you a 15% discount at a moderate from 2/14 - 8/24 and a 20% discount from 8/25 - 10/2. DC discounts are limited in number and tend to disappear quickly.

FYI- That 10% off at Downtown Disney Stores is only applicable after you spend $25.00 or more.

But that $25.00 is so easy to spend at World of Disney!!! SoG is closed for 18 months so they can expand and renovate. You would like the Contemporary...well, at least we did! The rooms are large and bright, the convenience is fantastic, the California Grille is really good, the pools are nice, but not really too themed (but then neither is the pool at SoG), the coffee bar is fantastic as is the counter service. If you have kids, they will love the arcade. The CM's were really nice and helpful, and you just can't beat the price military pays to stay there, when all other guests are paying at least twice that and more! At the Contemporary you will have to pay the 11% taxes that you wouldn't have to pay at SoG because it is not owned by the military, though.

As for the SoG... it was 1st the Golf Resort and is surrounded by golf greens. Then it became the Disney Inn with Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs theming before being bought by the Armed Forces. The rooms are huge, bigger than any others on property...not sure how they are now decorated. It is a short walk from the Polynesian, and many people walk there to catch the monorail, or to the TTC. The pool is shaped like a Mickey icon. There is a full service restaurant, but it is only open to guests of SoG.

Hope you have a great vacation1:)

Don't know anything about SoG, but had to comment on your user name! ;) See the "!" after mine, that is because I live in St. Paul ;) Just kidding! Hope you have a wonderful vacation!!!
