Hello fellow DISers! I've been reading trip reports for months now and it looks like fun so I think I'll give it a try. I leave for Disney TWENTY FOUR HOURS FROM NOW :cool1: I couldn't be more excited! The last time I went to WDW I was about four, so this will be a whole new experience! I don't remember much so I've been living vicariously through all your trip reports :) I am so excited for so many things!!

The Planning
Okay, so as I am a major planner and this is my first trip ever to be completely planned by me, I went a little crazy with the planning. I went all out with the planning binder, ADRs, everything. Now, when we booked the trip we were already 70ish days, so it was hard to get ALL the dining reservations we wanted, but we're very happy with what we have and that's what matters, right? Also, we are on the DDP, but plan to do a little OOP spending since we are both food lovers and don't know how we'll live without our appetizers!

The food!

Wednesday- we're on our own
Thursday- Boma
Friday- The Wave
Saturday- we're on our own
Sunday- California Grill
Monday- Les Chefs
Tuesday- 1900 Park Fare for breakfast! :thumbsup2

The resort

So, my boss has sort of been our Disney Travel Agent, as she is part of DVC and knows a lot of the ins and outs of planning a Disney vacation. She is actually in Disney right now and we'll be meeting up with her tomorrow in Epcot! (I can't believe we'll be there tomorrow!) She helped us figure out what the right option would be for my DBF and I, since we're both paying ourselves with our summer job money, and also wanted to have some spending money left over. We knew we would want to stay on property since we were trying to avoid ferry-ing Chris' car to Orlando, and we are not yet old enough to rent a car. We decided on Pop Century and booked it as soon as possible because as we waited, we saw how rapidly the price was going up! We booked about 74 days in advance, and were very excited about our decision, and how inexpensive it really was. It took us about three weeks of work each to earn enough for all our expenses. My DBoss told us about free dining and ADRs and from there its history!! About a month after booking Pop, I got an e-mail from Disney offering a FREE UPGRADE to either Key West or Saratoga Springs. I was at work at the time so I ran to my boss' office and asked her which one to try to get, she recommended Saratoga Springs and I called right away. At first, I didn't think I would get the upgrade because the e-mail was sent 3 hours before and I had already read on the boards that all the upgrades were taken. To my surprise the very sweet CM on the phone was happy to give us the upgrade :cheer2: We were ecstatic! The first thing Chris said was "WAIT, WE GET A WATER SLIDE NOW?!"

I was very impressed with Disney, to be honest. Everything I could ever have a question about was answered with one of their free services! For example, I didn't know about the ME before this, and I was worried about getting to the resort from the airport!

The Excitement!

:woohoo: Although I haven't been to WDW in fifteen years, Chris just went last summer with one of his classes, and you know what? They stayed off property, didn't have anything planned, and kind of just walked around all week! :rotfl2: I cannot believe this! I told him this will be a very different sort of trip for him and he already knows! I am jumping out of my seat with excitement and he is expecting the same kind of thing as his last trip! I am almost done packing, everytime I think I'm done I sit down only to realize I forgot something! I am using the Ultimate Packing List from Mousesavers.

Okay, I better go work on packing again!! Thanks for reading! I will definitely be putting up a full trip report when I get back, let me know if there is anything you'd like details about/pictures of (including food!)
