We have worked out that for 2 weeks @ SSR and 6 days @AKL in studios from mid April to 6 May would require 304 points.

We will have 302 point available once our contract is closed and the points loaded up. Is there anything we can do other than shaving another day off the trip?

Always best for us to try to maximise the time there as we are from the UK so the cost in flights is high...

Thanks.

You can purchase up to 24 one time use points per year. I think the price is around $20 per point. Not sure if this policy has changed due to the Covid situation. But we have been a few points short in the past and paid like $75.

Would it work to do 2 weeks and one day at SSR and 5 days at AKL?

Ya or opposite or possibly do the first night at a lower cost location? Has to be a way to find 2 extra points of savings over that long of a period. Heck maybe even a BWV Std or something comes up?

You can only purchase One Time Use Points at seven months out. You could just reserve what you have points for at 11 months out and then add one more night at seven months out.

We will be booking at probably about six months out by the time we get around to it / have our points.

I’d see what available at that time. You might get a different resort or only your home resort. You can call ms at 7 mo out to buy 1 time points. Definitely play around and see if you change resorts beg vs end. Weekends cost more so I’d play around with it to see if there’s a way to use all your points and without buying more.
