I was lead guest on 2 placeholders (booked at different times) and could not use them on the same cruise. But maybe your situation is slightly different?Well pre booking day it's always been 1 room per person. Maybe that's online only. but even that way would need to log into each of our accounts but if they are both tagged to me...
This is exactly what I'm worried about.I was lead guest on 2 placeholders (booked at different times) and could not use them on the same cruise. But maybe your situation is slightly different?
So, this is what we did - not sure if it helps you or not. This is exactly what I'm worried about.
If you purchased 2 placeholders together, one should be in your name and the other booked as "TBA" your last name. If this is indeed the case, then yes, you can add your wife as the lead on the "TBA" reservation and book the same sailing. However, she will have to remain on that reservation. As long as you are both Gold CC members, you can book on the same day. You will also have to call to modify the placeholders when they are booked this way.I know I can only book 1 room on my gold cc day. But I think my 2 placedholders are under my name. Can I move my second one to my wife and thus book 2 rooms when I get the chance?
Doesn't sound like that's what they did though - they have placeholders from different cruises. If you purchased 2 placeholders together, one should be in your name and the other booked as "TBA" your last name. If this is indeed the case, then yes, you can add your wife as the lead on the "TBA" reservation and book the same sailing. However, she will have to remain on that reservation. As long as you have the placeholder number, and your mom is the lead guest in one room it should be fine. As discussed above, if you buy 2 placeholders on a single cruise, the second one is labeled TBD (which in this case would be you). Can I piggyback on this thread to ask a related question? This will be our second cruise so we are still new. On our cruise where we bought the placeholder, we were 5 people in two staterooms. I had booked both rooms at the same time and they were both in my cruise app, etc. They were both "linked" to me, if that is the correct word. My mom (who was in the adjoining room) bought a placeholder on that cruise for two rooms. Will we have a problem calling on our Silver day and using those placeholder(s) to book the same thing we had the first time: two rooms for the 5 of us on the same cruise?
Perfect, thank you so much!As long as you have the placeholder number, and your mom is the lead guest in one room it should be fine. As discussed above, if you buy 2 placeholders on a single cruise, the second one is labeled TBD (which in this case would be you).
