Hi everyone,

Thinking of bringing a group of college students to Universal the second week of January and am wondering if doing the headliners in both parks in one day is realistic. Here's what I'd LIKE to do:

1) Wizarding World
2) Diagon Alley
3) Simpsons
4) Transformers
5) Spider-Man
6) MiB
7) Minion Mayhem
8) Mummy

Would an express pass even be worth the $ since it can't be used on either Harry Potter ride?

Second week of Jan I see no problem plus more if that. Just don't hang around.

Wait to buy the EP till you get there. I personally LOVE EP and make sure I had it even in January. But some rides were walk on. But I would plan to save the $ for it just in case the BTG (BIG tour groups ) are there. January is a popular time for tour groups.

i as at the darkside in the second week of january this year and there were a lot of tour groups there.

There will be ALOT of tour groups there..We go the 3rd week in JAn ( and we went same time in 2012) ..It was wall to wall tour groups.Every where you looked tour groups and tourgroup flags...Very Manageable with the express pass and staying onsite.Wouldn't want to deal with the groups in the standby lines though.

We can't afford to stay on-site, but the EP we could do.

The Universal site doesn't mention whether or not EP works for Minion Mayhem. Does it?

It does.Even with express pass that ride tends to have waits.. We waited 20 mins ( no big deal) last August.Standby was 90-120 minutes consistently. The ride wasnt open yet the Jan before when we went.
Express is good on ALL rides and shows except: Harry Potter Forbideen Journey,Gringotts, Ollivanders wand show and Pteranodon flyers

As a follow-up question:

Would the Unlimited Express pass actually come in handy if we're getting all of the above list done in one day? Or would multiple rides/uses not really come into play?
