The family we are going with next March will have a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old -- they're not sure if the 2 1/2 year old will be out of a crib by then, so they could possibly have 2 pack n plays. They're planning to stay in the BCV studio -- will there be enough room for 2 pack n plays?

If they open up the sleeper sofa, it will be too crowded for two pack and plays. If they don't open up the sleeper sofa, they may have enough room, but it will be tight. And don't even think about getting two in a BLT studio. It's hard to get one in there with the sleeper sofa open.

At 2.5, I think a better idea is to put the kid on the sofa-bed with a nice border of pillows, then put the 10-m-o in the Pack-n-Play. We did the bed-bordered with pillows trick a LOT for our son at 18-mo's and he never once got over the pillows. A great idea is to use the sofa cusions as more "bed rail" like barriers to keep him in the bed. He may not fit into a Pack-n-Play at that age... mine sure wouldn't! But you should have space for the PnP and the sofa bed.
