We are going to US/IOA for 4 nights at HRH and want to go to Disney 2 nights afterward (July 6-12, 2003). We are going without kids this trip so we'll probably get to explore Pleasure Island, Downtown Disney, Epcot and MGM...maybe AK. We won't be doing MK at all. Any suggestions as to the resort?? We are staying at CSR in May and ASMo the following March. We've already gone CBR and POFQ so want to try something besides those. I guess the Poly is out wince we will spend most of our time at Epcot and MGM?? Thanks for any help!:D

No kids? HMMMMM, let me think.
How about a hotel that supplies a DO NOT DISTURB sign.;)
O.k. how about the Beach Club. My favorite.

I would recommend the Beach Club Villas. My husband & I just came back from a September trip & had an awesome time. It was really nice & so new. We would walk over to Epcot each night & just walk around checking out World Showcase & the many drink offerings. :) SAB is really fun in the late afternoon/early evening (less crowded). Also, the 1 bedrooms have whirlpool tubs!!
We also went to US/IOA & stayed at the PBH. I was really impressed with how beautiful it was & all the restaurant choices. I know you are already at the HRH (we thought it looked really cool as well)--but think of the PBH next time you are without the kids. When we were there in early September, we had the place to ourselves. Very romantic.
Have fun!!!

Yes, definitely the Epcot resort area, but my vote would be for Boardwalk or Yacht club - my 2 faves! I just like the theming better than the Beach club. But that should be pretty nice too since it's being renovated now. You really can't go wrong staying in that area, you just have to watch for the codes so you don't end up paying too much!

DW and I found the BWI to be the most romantic place to stay in all of WDW. And, oddly enough, the best rooms there are also the resorts cheapest; try the garden view room, and you'll likely get a view of the Eifel tower and France at the World Showcase. This side of the resort is also much quieter at night. BWI features a quiet pool that stays virtually deserted because it is closed off from the rest of the resort; that may be an important factor to you in the extremely busy 4th of July season.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm glad you agree that an Epcot area resort would be a good choice! I was worried that Grand Floridian or Poly would be recommended as they are MK resorts and I didn't want to have to make that choice. I think that we will try BWI as to me it's a place I probably wouldn't take the kids (would opt for Beach Club if making the choice with the kids). :sunny:. Now I hope a good AP rate or code comes out! Thanks again!
