I'm getting excited now!

Cosmopolitan Hotel/Casino has a special that you must mention when you apply for your players card :

$100 ON US
Lose $100 in a Day & It’s On Us. Now Through March 31, 2012.

Play your favorites slots in our casino, and if you lose $100 in a day, we will reimburse you with $100 in Identity Play. Just bring your card to the Identity Membership Desk after your loss to receive your $100 in Identity Play. Players can receive $100 reimbursement one time only and the slot loss must be greater than or equal to $100 on that calendar date. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Available to new Identity enrollments only. Offer only redeemable once. Visit the Identity Membership Desk for more info.

DH and I can't wait to play the $1 slots (we normally stick to nickels).

Day #1 will be checking in to our hotel, going to lunch (probably at Margaritaville), and heading to Cosmopolitan for the above deal. And gambling.....

Day #2 we only have one thing planned - I got us tickets to "Name That Tune" at Imperial Palace. Should be a nice, cheezy break from gambling.

And Day #3 we go back home.

Today will be spent cleaning house, making beds, and pre-packing!!

Sounds like fun!

Have a wonderful time and if you have time when you get back, can you let me know how the show was?

I will definitely post a review on the show. I cannot really find any reviews, other than the one I linked to. Our tickets were only $33 total, with a promo code from travelzoo.

At this time tomorrow we will either be on our way to, or at the airport.

Wow -- Lose to win. Only in Vegas.

Have a great time.

Just got back.

Day 1 - Checked in to our hotel & headed to The Cheesecake Factory in Caesars Palace. Delicious as alway - I had the turkey club sandwich (HUGE) and DH had a burger.

From there we headed to Ambercrombie & Fitch - just across from The Cheesecake Factory. I found DS a really nice shirt on clearance for only $22.

From there we headed to Cosmopolitan, to get the $100 deal. DH and I both lost our $100 relatively quickly, and headed to the players desk to get their $100 loaded onto our card.

We got their $100, and played it. Ended up cashing out for $92 and $91 on each card. So essentially, we only lost $17 total. The machine keeps track, and any money you win you can cash out on as soon as you spend the entire comped $100.

After that was done, we headed to the "secret" pizza place on the 3rd floor of the hotel. It was not as good as I heard it was, but I was glad we tried it.

From the Cosmopolitan hotel, we walked back to our hotel, Imperial Palace.

Day #2 -
Woke up and went to Hash House A GoGo for breakfast. DH had the Sage Chicken Eggs Benedict thing (Man VS Food thing) and I had the apple cinnamon pancake. Way more food than we could eat. Very good though. And the coffee was YUMMY!!! Coming from a Washingtonian, that is a good compliment.

We gambled a bit at our hotel, and I was down to $.20 after putting in a $20 to the Yahtzee slot machine and won a bonus. Cashed out at $203!

I played some Keno and Video Poker for a while, and went back to Yahtzee, my "lucky" machine. I put in $40 and won another bonus, and cashed out for $237!

I told DH that I was taking him to the Sugar Factory for lunch, but he decided to go to Flavors Buffet @ Harrahs. We had a 2-for-1 coupon courtesy of our hotel check in, so with players card it was only around $20. That price is great, as DH loves buffets, and I end up normally with an expensive salad, so it was not too expensive.

After buffet, we went to the Sugar Factory to pick up some goodies for DS to give to his girlfriends.

DH and I decided that with our "winnings" to get DS a pair of the headphones that he really wanted - the Beats ones. So I went to the Best Buy kiosk at our hotel and got them for him. The expression on his face was worth the cost.

We went back to gamble at our hotel, and I fed a bit of cash - around $60 to the machines with no win. DH played video keno and cashed out at $280 after putting $100 into the machine.

We went to O'Sheas for dinner, as I was starving from my $10 salad at lunch. Had a sandwich from Subway, and DH ate a hot dog. And then we walked back to Imperial Palace and headed to bed.

Day #3 -
Woke up bright and early and caught the plane home. A nice trip, on Southwest Airlines, which I will definitely fly again, as long as we have the Early Bird seating. That saves the back of the plane drama.

As you can see, we never did go to Name That Tune. We decided that we were having too much fun to stop our gambling to go to the show. I told DH that if we were doing good, we could just skip the show. Since we ended up losing only $70 total on the slots, I would say we did pretty good.

Glad you had a good time and thanks for the TR...

we're right behind you!:cool1:

Didn't know cosmo had that offer, may have to stroll on over, i'd have been thrilled with your winnings, heck i'm happy to break even & have enough left over for a buffet...congrats!

We're passing on cheesecake factory (have one @ home), but planning on checking out the hash house, just not sure where @ IP it is. Probably will do the buffet 24 hour thing, did you try that?

We did the 24-hour buffet last year when we stayed at Excalibur. The cool thing about that was that when you got hungry, or just wanted a snack of fruit or something, you could go right up to the buffet and get some. We had a lot of quick refuel snacks of cantaloupe and honeydew when we had the buffet!

Imperial Palace is right next to Harrahs. It is easier to go through Harrahs because of all the construction that is going on at IP right now. Harrahs is next to O'Sheas and Flamingo. Just keep walking past the "Dealertainers" and you will see a pair of escalators and a Hash House sign. The escalators lead you right into Hash House.

DS is still flying high over his headphones. They are a hugely popular item at his school right now, and having one is a status symbol of sorts. I remember what it was like to be in high school and want the "cool" thing. Heck, I STILL know what it is like, LOL.

Have a great time in Vegas! I know we want to go back. I am trying to talk DH to going in August - yes August in the heat - but we will end up staying mostly in our hotel anyway. Gotta get our credit card down first.

:)

Nice trip report. Glad you had a good time.
