1) is there still only free wi-fi at McDonalds?

2) where will we find chocolate croissants on property?

1 - Yes though you can also sometimes get it at Starbucks. Sometimes I can pick it up and other times it's not disponible.

2 - I'm not sure what a chocolate croissant is :confused3

We have normal plain croissants and then ones that are filled with almond paste and have flaked almonds sprinkled on them or that are filled with ham and bechamel sauce. But neither of these are sold at Disney

Thanks Carrie Cat! You are FAST!
I'll be sure to stop in McDonald's to send a quick email or whatever. I am looking at downloading an app for my iphone (that uses wifi) that allows pretty inexpensive international calling. Just to let the parents know we made it etc.

I suppose chocolate croissants are an Americanized thing. They sell them in France at Epcot though.
It's a croissant with a chocolate fudge-like filling in the middle. Quite yummy!

Although I would love that almond one! I'll find one in the city I'm sure!

They do have chocolate croissants - pain au chocolat?(In the UK this is what we would call a chocolate croissant)? They're very similar. They're served in all the hotels at breakfast but i'm not sure if they sell them in the park.

They definitely have mickey brioche around the parks(most little shops on main st sell it) which is very similar - it may not be chocolate though but a sort of hazelnut chocolate paste, like nutella.

There are loads of wifi spots in Pris so you will have no pbs connecting.

Looking at Google I'm thinking that your chocolate croissant is a version of pain au chocolat which has two bars of chocolate in a sort of "bread" or flakey "dough" along the same lines as that that makes up a croissant

At Dlp you have a special version which comes with nuts on top and looks like this

Here's an article with a recipe in English about croissants aux amandes

There you go I've learnt something new :goodvibes

I've been out of the UK for too long :lmao:

Sadly the Mickey brioche are no more atm :sad2:

Thanks to both of you - I'm sure we'll find something! I've been telling my DD10 that she can eat croissants IN FRANCE for her birthday which is our last day in France. She's pretty excited about that!

That pain au chocolat picture is from Salon Mickey. Best pain au chocolat, EVER. FACT.

It was unbelievably dreamy good & I'm not a fan of pastries.

They sell them at the Cable car bakery/cookie kitchen as well amongst other places which is a good thing to know if they have run out in Salon Mickey or like me you're not a shareholder ;)

yep :thumbsup2, every pastry you can get at Salon Mickey is also sold at the Cable Car bakehouse.

I found this picture of a chocolate croissant. They are very similar to an almond croissant but have a soft chocolate paste inside and chocolate sprinkled on top.

Yes THIS! But the other picture of the pain au chocolate looked good too.

OT - how do you pronounce "pain" in French? I don't want to sound like a fool.
