2 months left: Anyone else under 60 days?

We are at 38 days until we return to the world.

My wife and I were originally going to go by ourselves. But then we decided to bring our family with us so they can experience their first trip to WDW. So...joining us on our trip will be my sister and her husband, their three children and Grandma. I must be getting soft in my old age because I agreed to pay for their entire trip from plane tickets, lodging, to their food. ;)

As you can imagine, the family is super excited to go. To be honest, my wife and I are probably more excited than they are. We can't wait to introduce the family to the Poly and the wonder that is WDW. :thumbsup2

AWW I pretty much did the same thing last year. I was going to go and take a friend but ended up bringing my mom, dad, sister, sister in law and 2 brothers, and my fiance. Plus, it was so worth it watching everyone else enjoy it. You big softy!! :goodvibes

Without giving away too much information, it looks like we are going to be seeing low crowds during September.

Inquiring minds need to know...how low will the crowds be? Will the crowds be lower than any other September?

Today marks 44 days!! So excited! I wanted to write down our plans and see is anybody has any tips for us since this is my first time planning. We are staying at POFQ from 9/10 to 9/17
9/10-Arrival day planned for DTD and Planet Hollywood 5:30pm for dinner. We don't get off the plane until nearly 2pm. We have park tickets for this day but I don't think we will have time enjoy anything before it's time to leave.
9/11-Kona 8:00am for breakfast and Tony's 7:10pm for dinner at MK
9/12-No ADRs except for TTFDP at 8:10pm no specific park planned
9/13-Biergarten 7:00pm for dinner day planned for Epcot
9/14-1900 Park Fare 9:30am for breakfast and Akershus 8:00pm for dinner no park planned
9/15-Garden Grill 7:10pm for dinner no park planned
9/16-Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:25 for dinner and MNSSHP day planned for MK.
9/17-Leaving at 7am
Any tips would be appreciated. We have the park hoppers, but I don't want to run around too much. Also my DD(6) has been to several zoos, 2 really big zoos. Is AK a must? She loves animals but when we went to the zoo in St. Louis, she wasn't really into it. That zoo has everything! We spend 6 hours there and didn't even begin to see everything. My DH wants to skip AK but I'm not sure. Thanks everybody!

Ive never been in September before but the crowd calendars are saying we should have alot of empty park pictures to bring back. Waits should not be longer than 20 minutes at the most. Sooooo excited!!!

The Wilson Family's first trip together!:dance3:

Welcome to the family! You are actually going to be there around the same time I will be at the "World". Maybe we will see you around! If you need any planning advice, feel free to ask me. Im happy to help! :yay:

On that note:
Animal Kingdom is so much more than a zoo. I dont even think of it that way. My husband and I finally got around to exploring the "zoo" portion of it after the trips planned last year. We personally love Animal Kingdom as much as Magic Kingdom. Its also alot more shaded than Epcot and Hollywood Studios so it makes for an easier tour. Also, Im glad you got the park hoppers. They will end up being your best friend in case someone in the party changes their mind and really really wants to ride a particular ride on a certain day.

Also, Ive eaten at 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast, LOVED IT!! One of my favorite. Feel free to play around with the Mad Hatter. He loves it for people to joke with him on stuff and it makes great camera memories down the road. Make sure and bring plenty of ponchos as Ive heard rain is likely in September. You can get a pack of 2 at your local dollar store but make sure and load up. You will throw these away each time you use them so you dont have to refold them. Also, make sure and bring ziploc bags for your camera and other electronic devices for when it rains and you go on water rides. There is nothing worse than losing your memories for your first vacation at Disney just ask my mom. :rolleyes1

Any questions for me? Happy to help! :grouphug:

I have a question about transportation. Can we walk from our hotel pofq to epcot and then catch the monorail to Kona for an 8:00am adr? I assume we can but you know what they say about assumptions....:)

Hey! Ok I finally found an answer to your question. I read that you cannot walk from any moderate to the theme parks. If you try it, you will run into several roadblocks including fences, major highways, large grass/wetlands that may include critters. Its best to stick with the Disney transportation designed for your resort. If you could walk from POFQ to Epcot, they would create a walking path and pofq lacks this detail.

Sorry! Will this hinder your plans?

38 Days til we will be at The Wilderness Lodge Villas!!

Cant wait to hear Welcome Home!!

Gotta get serious about what my Halloween costume will be for MNSSHP!!!

thank you so much for finding that answer for me! I appreciate that very much! It does kind of throw a wrench in the plans, but oh well what's a couple of extra minutes on the bus right? We really want to use the monorail and boats as much as we can. We have been getting out our maps at night and using the mobile apps a lot to try and plan which days to do what and which route is best. We are just too excited for words! We got a package on our porch today and it had mickey on the side. Lil dd started screaming mickey mail its here mama! Sadly it wasn't mickey mail but it was her belle costume. I surprised her and got the wand she wanted to go with her crown and dress. She tried it on and it fits like a glove. Thanks again for your help!

We are under 52 days and I just can't handle this wait much longer!!!:yay::yay:

YES!! We get to hear welcome home at Kidani too. We are trying to decide if we are going to the MNSSHP still. If we dressed up, I would love to be a pirate. Not sure what my hubby would be. Although Im sure he would rather I be tinkerbell. :rolleyes1

Aww, dont worry. The transportation has never been an issue for us and we usually go in the summer. I think its great and Disney does an awesome job moving tons of people around the world. Use those apps when you are in the parks too. They are amazing. I also have an app called Ifastpass or something like that. It allows people to trade or just giveaway fastpasses to others available in the parks. You should get it!

Poor thing! She is excited about getting mickey mail as much as me. Im waiting on my Magical Express packet right now. Glad the costume for her is just right. Im guessing you ordered it from Disney. Are you dressing up too?;)
