Ok everyone i need your help. We are staying at VGF, have all our dinner reservations made, dates for the merry mixer, dates for club member get togethers and not worried about FP. so the question is what other fun ideas out there? Wife and i have been to WDW a little less than 10 times but this will be the first with our son that is 3 but tall as a 4 year old. we adopted him last year from korea and want to make the most of his first trip. will be there 2 weeks.

Ideas to do with your 3 yr old--take the boat to or from the parks as just a fun 'ride'. Watch the Electric Water Parade go by the hotel on Seven Seas Lagoon. If you're around the hotel around 6-7PM, do the 'campfire' and cook marshmallows (Check the resort activity guide for exact times).

Let your 3 yr old enjoy some of the play areas in the parks--hedge maze in UK at Epcot, Honey I shrunk the kids playground at Hollywood Studios, some of the play areas in the ride waiting areas--like at Dumbo at MK.

Have fun!:)

Oh yeah the electric water parade. hes going to love that...we will be doing a lot of play areas as well as the pools at the resort. great ideas

Rent one of those 2 seat boats and ride around baylake.

Everything will be amazing to him, however it could also be a little too overwhelming at times for him! Just be prepared to go with the flow and let him be your gauge how long you stay, what you do etc... You'll be able to tell if all the lights, sounds etc. are too much intensity for him.

Our kids who went to WDW as babies and soaked it all in, suddenly and age 3 found it a little too much and had more meltdowns than in earlier visits. We found more downtime at the play areas in the parks and resort pools helped a bunch. The kids delighted in the family time with lots of interaction with us.

Also we didn't do a whole lot of sit down restaurants. The waits were too long for our kiddos at that time and meltdown central could happen. Actually this is when we were so happy to have our DVC villa kitchen!! They were happier with food made quick and easy in the villa which allowed more play time at the pool and play areas.

Now some other 3's might be all about the rides and want to go, go, go! So just be tuned into your kiddo and see how they take to everything. :) Enjoy!!

I understand the overwelming part of it cause my first couple trips were. Im sure my son will have a blast cause theres so much more to do and see than Disneyland. In the 1 year that hes been home hes been to Disneyland 10 or more times and hes the boss. My little man knows what he wants to do and where to go. lol I just want to do all the little special things at WDW
