Just got a call from my sister who just arrived in Disney this afternoon and went right to HS. She said it's a 120 minute wait and all fast passes are gone for the day for Toy Story Mania!!! :scared1: Gosh if it's like this now, in November what on earth will it be like at the end of April when I go?!? I'm very concerned now.

That happened in mid-october, too - fast passes were gone by afternoon. We got fast passes by going to DHS as soon as it opened. From the time we got in line to get the fast pass until the time we got up to the machine, the fast pass return time had advanced over 40 minutes! But we got our FP, and it was worth it (Toy Story is a really cool ride). Keep in mind, too, that it is a holiday weekend!!

Tell her to get them first thing in the AM another day!

I was there in August. The TSM area was HORRIBLE!! I was there at 8:20 (early morning), park wasn't even 'open' yet. THE ENTIRE AREA WAS FULL OF PEOPLE!! Fast passes were already to 1-2 and the stand by was at 120 minutes. It was so stressful, the lines for fast pass was outrageous, people pushing, AHHH!! We didn't go on it - not worth it. My suggestion - have one person RUN ahead and get fast passes for everyone. DO NOT GO IN THAT AREA IN THE MORNING W/ A STROLLER!! We have ADR in the am for Playhouse Dine and I think I will leave the table when the park opens and go and get us fast passes.

We went to TSM first thing in the morning when we got there. The line said 20 min and we also got fast passes. By the time our fast pass time came, it was a 2 hr standby wait. I didn't think it was worth 2 hr wait. 20 min fine, but not 2 hrs and especially with 2 little ones. So I would go first thing in the morning and get a fast pass.

We went in August and sent m yself as the runner at rope drop. My husband went to the TOT and I met him there after securing a FP. This worked out wonderfully. The line for TOT was only a 10 minute wait and we fit in a few things prior to our return time for TSM.

Bleah! I'm a total hum-bug but no ride is worth a two hour wait. :-( Bummer for your sister! Hopefully it'll work out different for you in April.

We were there the third week of October- same thing. We got FP and went to Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster. It was a fun ride, but we don't wait more than 30 minutes for anything!

My DH and DS thought they would go back on our last day because it was early entry. They got there at 8:20 and the line was already 40 minutes. FP were already at 11:15, but we were going to be gone by then. They skipped it and rode things without lines.

Sounds pretty normal for an afternoon during a holiday weekend.

We went on our honeymoon in October. Non-holiday weekday and when we arrived at 11 all fast passes were gone and it was a two hour wait. We did luck out though. Apparently they have 2 (I think) handicap only cars. They were looking for two people to fill the other side of the handicap car. We rode and then when we got back there were no handicap people waiting so they let us ride again! We were so excited! It made our day!

Just got back. Went Tuesday morning and was there for rope drop---by the time we made it to the area stand by was 50 min and the fast pass line was a 30 min wait. We got our fast passes for 1:00.

Same story for us in June! During the SWW we were able to get FPs--you have to do this first thing when you hit the park because they sell out before 2pm usually. the last evening we were there we all wanted to do it again and ready for some "down time": waited 120+ in line around 10pm - midnight and had a blast. DS-21 and DD-18 were absolutely ok with the wait which was a huge surprise because we are a FP expert family! This is one attraction we'll always wait for! Back in June 09!

We were there less then 2 wks ago and the fp was a few hours away and by the time we went for our ride at 12:30 there where no more left! We really wanted to FP again but no dice.

The wait was crazy considering most other rides said 20 minutes but where really walk ons!

We were there in late May 2007 and it was about the same story - no FP and about a 1 hour wait. We tried several different times throughout the week and finally did manage to ride it 1 time. It was cute but not worth more than about a 20 minute wait....

We were at DHS last Tuesday right at the opening. The line for fp was 20 min long. Kids and I went and rode Star Tours, went to the restrooms, before DH finally showed up.

It was a okay ride, not worth the FP wait.

If you decide to take the Fast Pass and it is 10:00 am and the fast pass time for return is 2:00 or later, will you be able to get another fast pass for another ride (like Star Tours) soon or will you have to wait until the start time of the Fast Pass - 2:00?

If you get a FP at 10, you will be able to get another at noon.

Tell your sister to invest in TourGuideMike. I just checked his Least Crowded Park Charts and HS was rated the WORST park for crowds on the 29th.

For $20 she would have known which park to be at on arrival day (when it's not an option to make it to park opening) and had a much less frustrating start.

I know TSM is tough to get FPs for or ride standby on any given day but she tried to do it at the worst possible time of day and on the worst possible day of the week for that particular park.

I hope things are going more smoothly for her now.

We were there in june/july and it was the same...no fast passes, but an even longer wait...We eventually waited on our second trip to the park, and it was well over 2 hours but the ride was awesome.....I have three kids....4, 7, and 9.....

good luck

We went Monday, we got our fastpasses aaround 10 am for around 7 that night, so we were able to ride ONCE, but the waits were 2 hours and later that night (EMH) they were still an hour and a half. It was so much fun, we would have liked to have gone again, but we opted to go back to draw some more characters at the animation classes, with no waits! Cool ride, but you'll probably only get to ride it once.
