and it looks like a perfect time to get back to this because this thread was taking a turn towards ugly....not even gonna comment on the "northerners creeping over

and thank you to all who stuck around- so sorry for the delay- I have just been swamped with work and home.

ok so we floated out of poly- jumped on the monorail and headed to the MK for our first day there...ahhhhh!

I originally made ressies for Tony's but I just felt that I didn't want to waste a TS credit and eat there because of all the bad reviews- so I canceled the ressie and decided that we would wing it today and maybe just do CS's.

we were very full from b'fast but once we hit tomorrow land and paid a visit to Mr. Tom Morrow- there is just no way to bypass the lunching pad....

ordered the stuffed pretzels I had heard about (sorry no pics) these are definitely a must try- I got one of each- the sweet and the spicy one.

They are a great snack- and you can use your snack credits for them-I preferred the spicy one- it wasn't really that spicy - just had a little kick to it- and DH loved the sweet cream cheese one. Surprise surprise- Eeyore thought they were YUCK! oh well more for me and DH - hee hee

these held us over for a while and we finished tomorrowland- did buzz lightyear like 4 times in a row and then the monsters inc laugh floor 2 x's and lots of other stuff in between.

After that we headed over to fantasyland and into toontown- but not without stopping for one of these:

Disney Popcorn rocks! I know its Orville's but i tt says Orville Gourmet- and it is the best! buttery, light and not very oily- thumbs up- and great use of snack credit ( although we spring for this one oop- because I wanted the keepsake bucket)

and always have to get this pic ( every year!)

Dh got the usual Frozen lemonade ( anyone keeping count on these-lol)

after snacks and toontown we did tons of rides in Fantasyland and as we were coming off of IASW it started pouring rain- thank god for the walmart ponchos- cause on they went!

we decided to keep trekking on- and as we left Fantasyland- all I could think of was Figaro Fries-hmm... do I get to taste them today for the very first time....stay tuned

we did HM- which by the way was the best thing ever- because now it was pouring- torentially- I looked over to the right and there it was- with hardly any wait- and the little wait it had was wonderful because the line is completely covered by an awning- so I made a note to always remember this for future- although when we got off- the line was spilling out onto the uncovered walkways- so I guess everyone had the same idea. see.....

we did some more rides- did SM, POTC , BTM and a few others with really hardly any wait and then hunger struck all- it was now about 4:00pm so DH had heard me talk about these Figaro Fries for weeks before leaving- so he suggested heading back that way so I could have them there also read on the map that they had pizza- Eeyore was all for that.

WOOHOO- behold the coveted and insanely Delish- Figaro Fries.....

ugh... DH seriously needs to keep his paws off- uh oh- I sense trouble...

Yummm- these were really great- I love allt he stuff so I got mine just they way they were listed- I love ranch dressing on fries- and whats not to love about cheese and bacon on fries- then you add the lettuce and tomato- and you have a salad...right? no seriously though the lettuce and tomato made it refreshing- so that it wasn't to greasy....they were really amazing- but soo sad ... I read on another thread that they are gone...gone... no more- boggles my brain.

ok- stay focused cause theres lots more food to review .

DS loved his pizza so he was happy too- DH not so much a happy camper- member the trouble I was sensing...- had a minor altercation having to do with the Figaro Fries- without getting into too much detail heres what happened- DH suggested FF cause I was craving them and couldn't wait to finally taste them- offered to get him his own- he declined- then proceeded to eat them at an annoyingly rapid pace to the point that I could nt enjoy them because if I slowed down there would be none left fr me- ok I hate fighting especially over food- cause thats just gross- and especially at Disney- cause its the happiest place on earth.

Moving right along- thats all I'm going to say about that- and we enjoyed the rest of our evening at MK-

we decided to do Cosmic Rays because DH and I wanted Burgers and I love Starlight Rays singing! so we leisurely strolled back over to fantasyland- and I was sooo bummed because there was a high school band playing so no RAY...this was a big let down cause the last time DH and I were there together- that was one of our faves- we would crack up and sing the songs th entire vacay... oh well... cause they still had food.

We each got Cheeseburgers and the chocolate cake for desset- both were good- I like MK burgers- probably cause I don't eat burgers really any other time- other than when im in Dis- weird.


we ended our magical day in the kingdom with a crazy crowded Spectro Magic Parade and then topped it off with the most wonderful amazing fireworks show ever...Wishes.. DH's first time seeing it and he was wowed!

ok back tomorrow- I promise with reviews of Rose & Crown- lunch, Kaki Gori, Le Cellier- Dinner, Paris Patisserie- desserts- saved for later date.

no worries- I'm a thick skinned NY'er it takes a lot more than that- and meanwhile I truly love it down here- I dont miss NY at all- as a matter of fact all of my northern friends come down to NC to visit me- they love it here!

Loved reading your imput on Whispering Canyon. We're going to WDW in 23 days (we will be celebrating my DD's 12th b-day) We have ADR at WCC our second night there. Both my DD and DS (who is probably even pickier than your son) are excited. I reallyd don't know what I'll feed him all week.

can he exist on carbs and desserts!- Eeyore sure can! good luck- I am sure it will work out fine- even when I couldn't find much for him to eat- he did had fruit and bread - and I figured it was just for a week- so I let him enjoy his faves- lots of desserts!

thank you for noticing- he was truly happy at that point of the day- but you should have seen his face at about 10:00pm that evening after wishes- not so cute- and then I love to mess with him- told him it was EMH night and the park was opened till 3 am ( which it was) and asked him which land he wanted to start in- OMG tooo funny- he almost freaked out

lol, I was always a commando park go'er as a kid and wore everyone else out. Poor little guy!
Glad you had a great time despite the rain, and the figaro fries look great! I said on the thread, since they are still serving the fries with cheese and bacon, get those and get a salad with your pizza, with ranch dressing and top your fries yourself!!
Not as pretty probably, but I bet just as good!
Can't wait for more!!

I am so used to it that its just the way it is- he has been this way literally since he started eating baby food- would literally gag with any vegetables in Jar mind you- and then when he was eating solids- I would put a tiny piece of chicken on a fork followed by an 1/8 of an inch of a steamed string bean followed by Mac & Cheese or pasta - all on the same fork- all would go in his mouth then his tongue would swirl around on the inside of his mouth- and out would come just the string bean- insane I tell ya! and this was at about a year old- hasn't changed since and believe me I have tried- but he just has these uber super taste buds and just cant eat certain foods no matter what.... meanwhile my BIL who mind you has no kids yet constantly criticizes my sons poor eating habits....oh man I cannot wait til he has kids....mwahahaha!

There is hope. My son was a picky eater also. Pretty much the same menu as your son's. Mac & cheese, plain pizza, plain hamburger - bun with no seeds, peanut butter. He eats everything now - very adventurous in eating everything - (he's 34 now) We eat everything and now our son does too!

something about the rain tends to wear them out like nothing else. The ONLY time my kids complained the entire week (did parks commando style/ weren't sure when we would get back again) was when we were caught in the rain one evening.

About your itinerary cards (back on page 2). I do up cards also (never thought of the clip art - great idea!).

Anyway, since I don't have a laminator or packing tape either, I actually made mine small enough to fit in the plastic holder we wear on our lanyards. Sometimes called badge holders. I used card stock - it works out great.

Now drooling as I await more reviews.
