2 great DVC trade-out places in UK

DD and I just returned from a great 14 day tour through Scotland, Wales and England. Two of the hotels on our trip are also II properties that are available for trade-out through DVC. The Cameron House in Loch Lommond, Scotland and the Langdale Hotel and Country Club in the Lake District of England were both excellent. Their locations offer breathtaking views. The accomodations and level of service were outstanding. I'd highly recommend them both.

Thanks so much for your report. I've always been interested in the Cameron House. But, with an II trade, we'd be stuck there for 7 nights. Is there enough in the area to keep us busy for all that time?

What size were the accomodations?

The Cameron House is located in Loch Lommond. They have an excellent leisure center (pool, exercise room, etc). I would probably suggest day trips to other areas for sightseeing also. We stayed in the Hotel. The II exchanges are villas separate from the hotel. We walked past them but didn't see the inside. It is a first class resort so I'm sure they are very nice.

How much did it cost point wise? We are trying to figure out approximately how much it will cost so we can bank the appropriate amount.

Julie, we didn't use points. We were on a 2 week tour and stayed only 1 night at the Cameron House and 2 nights at Langdale. You would have to check point requirements with Member Services.

We're thinking of trading to the UK for a week sometime to go bike touring, sounds like these would both be great places to stay.

The thing that makes II trade less desirable to DW and I is the one-week requirement. Unless that were to change, we will stick to Concierge Collection properties for non-Disney trips, even though the Concierge Collection is so limited.
