We are making our first Presidents week trip to WDW and are prepared for the crowds. The night that we are going o MGM they have an early and a late showing of Fantasmic. We are not doing the fdp this time because we did not feel like eating dinner at 4 pm. So I wanted to know from those who have been during other peak times is the second show less crowded than the first? Thanks! :thumbsup2

I've done the 2nd show once, and yes it was considerably less crowded than the earlier show, or on nights when there's only one showing. It was only about 2/3 full.

We actually prefer the 2nd show now. And we don't bother to get in line for it until they actually start letting people in. We tend to end up toward the front of the next to last section on the left... no worse than the FDP on the far right.

We went to the second show Dec. 3 and it was not crowded. Totally enjoyed it!

Another vote for the second show!

Thanks. Now I do not feel so bad about missing out on the fdp. :thumbsup2

First show is always packed. The second show is considerably less crowded but over the holiday weekend it might still be pretty bad. On another note I will be in WDW during presidents day weekend as well (2/12 - 23), and I didn't get the FDP either... so hopefully we both aren't standing on the railing in the rear of the ampitheater together :lmao:
