Two family`s one world!
I`ve been planning this trip since May! Here are the cast members
Me (early for everything , so we dont miss it) also celebrating a birthday this trip
my DH (he follows me and says ok , whatever you wanna do)
my DD-10 (the birthday princess who reached double digits this trip!)
my DD-8 (climber of anything he can climb on, and totally here to torture his sister!
And the 2nd family
Sandy (my close friend who plans nothing)
Her DH Michael who also follows me and says ok what next)
and their kids twins 7 y/o 1 boy (who wants to do everything twice b/c he is fascinated with it all and his sister (who tells every character they are her favorite!)
Our other family showed up, we were already in line for the bus, hurry up fellows we will be late. I wasnt so concerned with our breakfast at the castle (it wasn`t til 10:20) but the ship would sail with or without the devil pirates at 9:30 and the guys had to get them there! My DS looked so cute in his pirate costume (he was a pirate for halloween this year, so we brought the costume for the cruise)
I`ve never been at MK for opening and I`m so glad I got to see it! There is just something special about seeing Mickey and friends showing up on the train, dancing and singing that still makes me smile! The santiago family from puerto rico were on board with Mickey to open up the kingdom! I videotaped, it was amazing!
So we get inside the park, and I said to the girls lets go up to tinkerbells treasure and see if anyone woke up Tink yet, but don`t be upset if someone did already since I know people get inside earlier for a 9am breakfast. We arrive to find that a girl is already there and she is waking up tink. So I said loud enough for them to hear, maybe they would let you help since this is your birthday celebration trip but she didn`t share. I videotaped the other child anyway. So they are done and leave, and Don the storekeeper turns to my daughter and says O I think she went back to sleep, You want to try and wake her again! MY DD`s whole face lit up, how magical of him! So Sydney says to Eden, we can wake her together, I got a picture and video of it, and he gave them a certificate, Sydney put both names on it! It was very sweet , A huge hug to Don to make their day special!
I`ll tell ya what, its worth getting to the park early, we got to do Philharmagic, Peter pan, Snow whites scary adventure, small world and winnie the pooh all b4 our breakfast at the castle.
Eating in the castle was amazing. We had to stand in a line to have our pictures taken with Cinderella, right in front of her tree, b4 we got seated. I was a little annoyed at the chinese family who werent eatting in the castle who butted in line b4 us. I told them they werent supposed to be there anyway, but they pretended not to understand. It made us late for our reservations and we had just missed a few of the princesses, but low and behold we had the last breakfast seating, and our server bless her heart made them all come right back to our table for video and pictures. It was nice b/c we got to see them all and then sit and enjoy our meal and relax! The food is plated, but you can ask for more and we did, and she brought us more. They also sang happy birthday to us and brought us cupcakes. I gave mine to Eden , I was so full from breakfast!
As we were leaving the castle , they were just getting ready for Cinderellabration so we got there just in time. I don`t know why people say this isnt so good. we loved it! The girls sat right up front, I had my eye on them but I stood to the side and videotaped. I just dont get why the adults dont let all the little ones sit in front, its not like they cant see over their heads.
Shortly after the show we saw tweedle-dee and tweedle dum and the white rabbit from alice in wonderland with no line. So we got our pics taken. Perfect timing the guys are back , they had a great time on the pirates cruise, no one had to walk the plank! LOL
O, I got a funny story to tell................while the boys were on the cruise, the men thought they would make their way back to MGM and get FP for the stunt show, and make it back in time to get the boys (they had 2 hours to kill) Well they take the monorail to epcot,switch monorails to MGM and mike waits with the backpacks while my DH runs through MGM to get FP for the show. Puts his card and gets one FP, does Mikes and sees through the corner of his eye another paper,does the same with the boys cards. Not looking that they were not valid passes...........apparently you have to be in the park (go thru the gate turnstiles) to get a FP..............who knew? So they wasted their adult time to relax for nothing! Leave it to men! LOL
We all decided to go to toon town and see which characters were there.
Got in line for pooh and eeyore, long wait but, eden and her brother jere didnt get to see them yet, and we all know they are Eden`s favorites! LOL
The parks were getting so crowded! We waited in line for barnstormer for 45 minutes! 45 minutes for a 1 minute ride, what were we thinking!
We were thinking its time to get out of here! We took the bus back to POP and all squeezed into Mikes toyota corolla and went to Sizzlers for dinner. It was nice to eat a good meal without spending a fortune! One of the advantages of having a vehicle. Stopped at a store to stock up on film, can u believe i went through 8 rolls of film already and we have 2 more days here!
Then we took a ride to see the time share they were staying at. It was huge, they actually had originally invited us to stay with them and their certainly was enough room in the two bedroom condo, but we declined, knowing how convenient it was to have park living priviledges.
Mike took us back to our tiny room at the POP to get kicked in the back and have another sleepless night! lol
