I love Misty Miotto pictures. There is something about her pictures...the way her colors seem so vibrant and her creativity. I love Randy's photojournalistic style and the amazing pictures he creates. So an idea occurred to me. Why not have both on the same day? I would have one do before the wedding and the ceremony itself and pictures afterwards. I would have another do the reception and additional pictures after that. They wouldn't be taking pictures at the same time or in each others way since they will be doing different portions of my day. Do you think they would allows this? I want to capture from different stand points my entire day. And since I can't choose, and my husband and I have different tastes, why not be unconventional. Thanks for your feedback! :thumbsup2

Pros and Cons of doing this?

Most photographers have it in their contracts that they are the only photographer you can hire for that day. I have even spoke with Misty about it.
My husband and I are both photographers and we have the same policy in our contracts.

BTW, talk with Misty about the photos Randy has taken and I bet she can do the same ones.

That's a no go and probably a huge waste of money. They would only be in each others ways and giving duplicate photos. Their contract probably also state that they will not. If you want two photographers find a team that works together. My photographers were a husband and wife team, two photographers who worked together. How about the Roots?

The OP is talking about them taking pics at different times of day. Not taking turns. Didn't Sarah-Jane (sorry if I messed up on who it was or how to spell your name) have both Misty and the Roots? I am not sure if it was the same day though or if she had two receptions at Disney or what?

Opps, read too fast and focused on the 2nd reply.

I don't see why you couldn't do that. As long as they have packages that fit your needs. Yes, I was at Sara-Jayne's wedding and she did have the Roots for part of the day but her wedding (ceremony to dessert party) was about 12 hours not including getting ready photos. In that case Misty needed a break so the Roots photographed part of the day. I know it made for a little bit of confusion but worked out in the end.

I would look into but maybe try not to mention that another photographer is coming? I don't know how they would feel about that, it's worth a shot. I personally think Misty is a better photographer than Randy but that is my personal opinion. I also think if one of the sets of photos is better than you might not favor the other set and regret using two. Also logistically it might not be as smooth of a transition. Also, you might get comfortable with one and then have to switch. Those are just some on the cons I can think of. I would also consider the costs of doing this.
