2 Days-Which Parks??

Okay so we're going on our "preview" trip in November (we have a big trip planned for the fall of 2010). We only have 2 full days so I thought we should only hit two parks. There is me, DH, DD (6) and DD (2). Of course MK and then I thought AK since DD's love animals. I know Epcot is just so big and thought that we would save that park for the next trip.

But what about DHS? Would that be a better choice than AK? I can't remember what would be there for DD's ages. Of course everything is changed since the last time we went (2001).

It's funny - I'm trying to decide the same thing for my family. But in your case, with the ages of your kids, I think AK is the obvious choice, especially since your DD loves animals.

Now, if only I could decide...

We've been many times and still find our way back to DHS over AK. Our little ones love it. (3 and 6 last time) If yours love Playhouse Disney, DHS would be our suggestion. That show, alone, is great. Plus, what about the Toy Story Mania ride? That's the new ride that so many people love.

Actually, our favorite thing to do for those two parks is to split them if it's a short trip. AK in the AM and DHS in the PM. We always get a park hopper on that day so we can split it. It seems like we can do both in one day if it's just the little ones going.

I would probably say AK, but you may want to compare the shows in the two parks to see which ones your daughters would like better DHS(B&B, Playhouse Disney, Little Mermaid, Muppets 3-D Movie) vs AK (FOTLK, Nemo, Flights of Wonder). Neither park has many rides, especially for small children. Both have afternoon parades.

I went last fall and took my niece (4) for her first trip. She loved AK and was so-so over DHS. I would do MK and AK.

MK and AK votes from me. My 1 year old loved the animals on the trails, and the planet watch. Kids aged 2 and 6 would enjoy, I am sure.
