2 Days Til The World! - 2/10 With the snow comes an update!

Very sorry to hear the news. I agree that he would want you both to try to enjoy yourself.

I finally got a chance to read through the thread and was excited to hear how you're liking the Lensbaby (like Gdad, it's been on my list for a while, I almost sprung for a $70 older one earlier this year) then got to the bad news. :( Hopefully it won't completely ruin your trip.

On the other hand, it may just mean that you'll have to go back soon!

Well everyone---I'm back from Florida two days early and headed up to Massachusetts right now for a funeral tomorrow. DH told me I could stay in WDW to finish the trip out but I wouldn't feel right being in the happiest place on Earth while he was at a funeral, so I came home too.

I'm on my iPhone so this will be brief but the trip was overall pretty nice. The Boardwalk was awesome to stay at, the Deluxe Dining Plan was fun to have but we couldn't make the most of it with a shortened trip. The parks were really crowded, but the waits for rides weren't horrible.

Phtography wise I think I came back with mostly crap. After getting the bad news and then frying to cram in as much as possible I just never got into the groove and doubt I came away with much I'll be proud of. Oh well---gives me a reason to go back I guess.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and condolences, getting to read them while on break from the parks helped to perkme up a bit.

Gotta run for now, I'm hoping to go through some shots at the hotel tonight and if I have any Internet access maybe I'll post.

Ann, you're a good wife and grand-daughter in law. I'm sorry that your trip ended in such a sad way. I'll bet you'll be pleasantly surprised by some of the pictures you took once you're in a happier frame of mind. Hugs to you and DH.

Awww, Hugs to you and DH . Sorry you had to cut your trip short. I agree with QLabs. I think you be pleasantly surprised at the photos you managed to come home with.

I thought I would be mostly disappointed with my pictures from October and managed to get some I am pleased with after I got home and got to look at them on a PC rather than a laptop and then starting processing them. I am sure you will have some good ones but I can totally understand not being able to get into any kind of groove under the circumstances. Be extra careful if you have to do any driving this weekend with the Nor'easter the are predicting things could get a little dicey for travel in the Philly/NYC area. Hugs to you and Eric and stay safe!!

Sorry about your loss. I hope you at least somewhat enjoyed your trip.... even for a little while.

We're back from FL as well. Thanks for taking the time to text me Monday night. So sorry to hear the sad news.
We'll have to get together and commiserate over our crappy trip pics. Although I sincerely doubt you could ever take a crappy pic.
Hope you're ok. The weather is going to get bad starting midday tomorrow. Please take care and give the family a hug from us.:grouphug:

I'm sorry about your loss. And sorry about the timing. Here's hoping you can find the magic again soon.

Ann, condolences to your family from oogieboogieman & me. I hope you have safe travels!

I am sure your pics are great! DH was disappointed that the weather was so crappy on our trip 2 weeks ago. He didn't take as many pics as he had hoped, and we didn't do nearly as much as we planned due to the monsoon.

Okay everyone! Since we were stuck in the house today due to the 20 inches of expected snow, I decided it was time to start processing photos. I'm not sure how I am going to post them yet (day by day, as I process them, in order or just whatever ones I like), but here are some that I liked so far.

Some shots from our first day, spent in Downtown Disney.

Yay, pictures!

Love the woman painting Christmas ornaments and the Streetmosphere performer. Beautiful work.

Beautiful shots so far, Ann! I'm also following them on flickr. Can't wait to see more lensbaby shots!

I never noticed before, but the lego dragon looks like the dragon from Tic-Tac-Dough (the game show from the early 80's). <-of course I could just be showing my age with that reference.

Thanks, the woman painting the ornaments is one of my favorites so far. Ideally I would have liked the composition to be a bit different, but I'm satisfied with it.

Awesome first few pics Ann!!!! Looking forward to seeing more :thumbsup2

Thanks, Karyl. Trying to get as many as I can done this weekend since this week I'll be craaaaazy busy with Christmas stuff and then a trip up to Massachusetts.

I wasnt born until 1984, so I wouldn't know about that---however you aren't the only one that thinks that! Check out the link below.
