2 days in Disneyland or 1 in California Adventure?

My DD8 and I are going to be in LA for 1 week.

Our trip wasn't going to be about Disney at all, but we managed to squeeze in two full days of Disney!

We each have two one day non-hopper tickets.

Should we go to Disneyland both days or one day to each park?

Thanks!

Guess it depends on your priorities. In general the parkhopper option is best but it sound like someone gave you tickets? If you bought them yourself honestly I would change them to parkhoppers.

If you must do one day at each park then without knowing anything more about your priorities I would lean towards one day at DL and one at DCA.

I purchased the tickets. Initially we were only going to have one day in Disneyland with my sister and neice. I bought all of us one day tickets. Now my sister and neice are coming one day...but were given free tickets which left me with the additional 2. That is why we alterted plans...and now my DD and I will be going an additional day. :cool1:

So, if I purchased those tickets online can I still change them to hoppers? Will I have to do that when I arrive?

Thanks so much!

Yes, you can change them at the ticket counters at the entrance. But, if you plan to arrive to the gates early I would not make the change first thing in the morning. I would enter one of the parks with your current tickets and then do it later mid-day maybe when you want to park hop.

The reason of course is that morning time in the parks is precious with short lines and you do not want to waste time then with ticket agents. Mid-day time is when lines for rides are long and that is when I would do it.

My personal choice would be to spend two full days at DL and scratch DCA. But as others have posted, it depends on your priorities. DCA has more thrill rides (Tower of Terror, California Screamin', etc. Oh, plus Soarin', which is also really nice). But DL has far more charm IMO and fun. So, again, it depends on your priorities.

Very wise advice.
