Hi! I will be going down end of August with my 2 DDs with 6 MYW tickets.

We have already decided we do not want to do AK. Currently the plan is 2 days each at MK, EP and HS. The greatest appeal with HS is the Frozen stuff. I was planning on doing one full morning one day and a later day til close day. Should I just plan 1 full day instead and have an extra day at MK or EP?

Thanks for your thoughts!

With all of the closures I would definitely do one full day or two half days there. If you get "done" with the park while you're there you can always bus or boat over to Epcot easily.

In 4 trips, we have only visited HS once - the most recent trip w/ 7yo and 4.5yo - and even for our first visit there, it only held our attention for half a day. I would take another MK day instead.

I just changed my plans from 1 half day and 1 full day to 2 half days. I just can't find enough to do to fill a full day.

The day before our second half day MK has EMH till 2 a.m. So we plan to sleep in the next day and go to the Studios around lunchtime till close.

My girls are the same age. I may have to rearrange our schedule. Thanks!

Sounds like what I was planning. I'm going to run it by my oldest and see what she prefers. I'm truthfully ok with 2 half days. Looking forward to just lounging around the pool as much as possible. :)

I would encourage you to consider AK for even *just* half a day. Most kids LOVE the boneyard dig and the safari and Flights of Wonder is pretty cool. DHS is sadly lacking. Easily a half day park; you may want to come back one evening for Frozen fireworks..... as you suggested. _I_ could not spend a full day there.....

MK is going to be PACKED in the afternoons. _I_ would do two mornings there at RD hitting it hard until about noon then go to Epcot or DHS with your 3 FP+.

DD7 has been analyzing everything in each park and it was actually her idea to not go to AK. I tried making suggestions to see if she changed her mind but it was a no go...which I'm ok with as it's my least favorite park. lol

Seeing how so much is closing at HS is what made me wonder if 2 days would be too much but I've scheduled FP+ with DD4 favorite one morning and then the other evening will be FP+ for Frozen for DD7. We can always play it by ear after the first day.

We are doing MK after 4pm on our last night so we can enjoy it before our return home AND because the only FP+ I could get for A&E was 6pm. lol

Thank you for suggesting hopping but it's not something I am interested in doing with my girls yet.

Unless there is an event going on at HS I can not spend a full day at HS, two half day's at best. I would knock out HS in the morning then take a rest in the afternoon, pool time, then go back for fireworks.

One full day. Last time was our first time there and we left early. Some people love it, I can live without it. We aren't going there this trip.

I couldn't do two days at HS, just not enough to do. I don't do ToT or RnR though. The only reason that we are going to do more than a half day this time, is because we are seeing Osborne Lights for the first time. Also, we are going to do a couple of the shows that we skipped last year. I don't go to VotLM or BatB every trip.

We can't even fill one full day at HS. Of course, we love AK and usually spend two full days there. Everyone is different!

We generally spend two days in DHS, but we are not RD to close people, Normally we are out of the park by 2 or 3, so I guess it really is two 1/2 days for us. We do like the shows which take time.

My family actually loves Hollywood Studios and we spend 2 days there. We love watching all the shows and my girls favorite rides are TOT and rockin roller coaster. Fantasmic is also our favorite show at Disney

For my family, it’s barely a half-day park. We have a four year old son with no interest in shows or character meets, so for us it’s pretty much TSMM, Great Movie Ride, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, maybe a little wandering around, and then back to the resort.

Add me to the list of SHOULDN'T MISS AK.

So many people take this park for granted to be just "Another Zoo" which is so totally not true.

This park doesn't usually get much love, but by far this place is the most pleasing to the eye for sure. There are soo many different shows to see here, the parade is different, the attractions here you won't see at any of the other parks either. Plus, besides having a history lesson built into a fun vacation *(Awesome CM's), you'll learn a lot about the animals too.

I'd at least save 1/2 the day ( at minimum ) for AK then do the other 1 & 1/2 for HS if you want....Even if your not a huge animal fan, you cannot get this type of park just anywhere..:confused3 This obviously is just my $.02...

I would just do one leisurely day ..

If you want to see all the shows, you'd probably struggle to get it all done in one day (just due to the timing of the shows)

If a few shows aren't interesting to you .. then .. sadly .. not much there anymore now that they've removed all the "movie magic" attractions.

I've always considered it a "boys" park, though they have tried to draw the girls there with the Frozen Summer Fun stuff. For girls that age .. they may be too small (or find it too scary) to go on the two big attractions there (Rock N Roller coaster and Tower of Terror).

I would definitely consider going to one of the themed restaurants there for one of your meals. Those are fun.

I am going there in August with my 3yo son and his two (girl) cousins (2 and 4) .. I have no doubt he'll enjoy some of the stuff there (even though he won't be able to go on a lot of the rides due to height or being too scary), I just wonder if the girls will be interested in the stunt shows.

As I always do with DHS .. if you are done for the day and don't plan to see the night shows .. take the nice boat ride over to Epcot. One of the best ways to park hop if you have the time for a long boat ride.

We did one full day at HS and pretty much did everything. We did not need a second day. I had written out a schedule prior to leaving because we wanted to make sure to see all of the shows and inserted rides and meals in between. It was a full day for us, open to close, but we did everything we wanted (and almost everything in the park except for One Man's Dream and Disney Jr).
