Hi everybody! We leave for Disneyworld in a few days and I was taking a look at our plans and have a question that I am hoping to get opinions on.

We have 10 day park tickets. The plan was to do 4 days at MK, 3 at Ep, 2 at HS, 1 at AK. Last time we went to Disneyworld, we went for less days and only did HS and AK for one day each. After looking at the list of things we want to do at HS, I was wondering if you think we could do it all in one day or is it just better to keep it two days?

We have TSM, ToT, and Star Tours FPs. My DD is 4.5 and she wants to do the Disney Jr. show, meet the Disney Jr. characters, meet Moana, Launch Bay and maybe Jedi training. The things that are on our maybe list is the Frozen show, meet Olaf, meet Mickey and Minnie, and meet Woody and Buzz.

Would you do two days at HS or do you think we're able to do it all on one day?

I think that you can probably get that done in one day. If you are wanting to see the Star Wars night time projection show and Fantasmic!, you may have to plan to have 2 evenings there.

On long trips, we always do 2 days at HS! Too much to see and do in just one day, with rides, shows, meet and greets! One of the 2 days we also see Fantasmic! We love that show!

With being there 10 days I would do 2 at HS. Jedi Training sucks up a huge part of your day. First you rush there at park opening and wait in a long line and waste the best touring time of the day signing up. Then you have to return for your show 30 minutes before it starts so it ends up taking a full hour of time. It is worth it if your kids love Star Wars like mine do, but I always feel like it makes HS the most stressful park. So if you do that your first day the second day you won't need to worry about it.

We love AK, it is our second favorite behind MK, but we did absolutely everything we wanted in one day. Obviously, things will change soon as Pandora is opening in a few months, but right now I don't see the need for more than 1 day there. Though with 10 days, we might just do 2 days at each park and 4 at MK.

With PHs and 10 days there why not schedule your one day then wing it later on. You might find one of your MK days you want to hop over to HS or another park later in the day. Make your plans flexible, which are so easy to do with PHs and you should be fine.

Okay, thank you for all of your replies! I think we will keep our two days as they are right now and if we want to change it after the first day then we will.

Another question, if we want to do Fantasmic! should we FP it? We have TSM FPs for both of our HS days but I wasn't sure if I should change one to Fantasmic! instead?

I don't think it's necessary, it's really easy to get it as a 4th FP, I've done that a few times. I've even gotten one only 2-3 hours before the show.

If I told my family that we were going to Epcot for 3 days and only 1 at DHS I am pretty sure there would be a mutiny and I would no longer be aloud to make plans for any vacation activities. We would be more like MK 4, AK 2, DHS 2 Epcot 1 and a day off.

If you like character MnGs and watching the shows/fireworks/fantasmic Then maybe consider 2 days in HS. We schedule 2 days just for the opportunity to visit with rare characters during the daily training events. Last Sept we snagged time with Robin Hood, Grimhilde, and Gold King costume Aladdin. But we also have the Beauty and the Beast Stage show, the starwars fireworks, and fantasmic on our list along with everything else. so ... we do 2 days.

If you have park hopper, maybe consider doing Epcot for 2.5 and HS for 1.5, give yourself a flexible day off for pools, recovery for a 4.5 year old, Disney Springs... We usually stay 8 days and our DD was 4, 5, & 6 and now 7 and we always try to have a flex day in the middle for rest/recovery (feet). Or if you use rest day and at the end go back to HS to see second night time show?

We will be at Disney for a total of 14 days so we will definitely be resting and hanging at the pool some of those days!! Don't want to overdo it. :)

I like the idea of doing Epcot for 2.5 days and HS for 1.5 days. Maybe we'll throw some more AK time into there. I wasn't sure how much park hopping I wanted to do since we are using the busses but I just read about the transportation that will take you from one park to the other so I might look into that! :)

I agree with using 2 park days for DHS and slowing down a little....
If Pandora was open then I would give AK another day.

We did the park in 1 day for all of the rides, but we went back again to see the Star Wars Fireworks one evening, but I agree with others and just take your time since you have 10 day tickets.
