2 day MK strategies

I have been considering using the Unofficial Guide touring plan for 2 days at MK. DH, however, thinks it would be easier just to split the park in half and do one half each day. I'm thinking this won't work as I have seen this suggested in no plan. Can anyone tell me why this won't work so I can talk DH out of it??

Hi Heather,

There's a revised Unofficial Guide plan that does exactly this over two days, and we evaluated it for the 2005 Guide. It didn't make it in the Guide, but it is on the website (for a fee - sorry).

The tradeoff between this plan and the one in the Guide is a bit less walking for a bit more waiting in line. I don't recall the exact numbers off the top of my head, but it seemed something like 10 fewer minutes of walking, 20 more minutes of standing in line during summer crowds, versus the plan in the book. The overall time to see the same attractions was higher on average, and break-even at best. Your walking style may make those numbers vary slightly, of course.
