2 Day hopper ticket question

Someone is selling 2 x 2 day hopper passes, which has been used for 1 day and dont expire until June 2010.

Am I right in thinking the 2 days have to be used consecutively making the tickets void?

I'm pretty certain they don't which is why they have an expiry date on them
