:fish: Has anyone done this excursion with Virgin? We have booked it instead of Discovery cove but now I'm a bit worried as says you need to be a strong swimmer. Taking son in March 2007 who can doggie paddle. Has anyone had any experience of this trip? Going to make him have swimming lessons from now until we go!!! :scratchin :fish:

I've not done this but hopefully someone will be along who has some information on it for you 1sttimer :)

Does virgin book this with Divers International? This is who do a lot of the tours. If it is then they wil take you to dophins plus. You swim in sea water which is deep water but also protected, you can see some pictures and a description at http://www.dolphinsplus.com/structured-dolphin-swim.htm
however, they also give life jackets.

However, I do not know if this is who Virgin use.

I did the virgin one in October last year. The dolphin swim was in pools with 2 people in the water with 2 dolphins (watch out though at the end you get pulled back to the platform by the 2 dolphins but not all the dolphins want to share humans :rotfl: ). The water is deap but not a problem though if you can swim you should be ok. The only thing that worried me was sitting in a hotel with hurracaine warnings on the tv as wilma was coming straight at us.

Thanks everyone I must get my boys swimming skills improved over the next year :duck:
