anyone have any suggestions on how to save on 2 day base tickets? 2 kids and 1 adult....I looked through several of the legit vendors, and they all seem to cost exactly the same as buying through Disney. (610.00)

And...anyone know about the 10 percent discount for staying on a group res at swan/dolphin? It's for a conference but the site is down, and the phone rep quote me a normal price (also 610) and said that it was as a discount. Confused??

The vendors don't charge less than Disney because they cannot get the 1- and 2-day tickets for much less than what Disney sells them. The real discounts are for 3+ days with hopping and pluses.

Every meeting that I've gone to at Disney has discount tickets available but they are multi-day tickets or after-2 PM or after-4 PM 1-day passes. The regular 1-day and 2-day passes are usually the regular gate price BUT include one plus for golf or water parks. Your group's discount may be different due to it being organized thru the S/D.

For any kind of discount on shorter visits, I usually suggest trying to get Disney GCs at a discount over the face value and then using those to purchase directly from Disney.

Got it. That makes sense. I was reading another thread on tips for finding discounted gift cards so maybe I'll work on that. I'm tempted to by 3 day passes but my kids and I really want to spend a day at the swan and dolphin resorts having pool time and that kind of thing. Thanks for the info.

I save on base tickets with my BJ's membership and buying the 100 dollar Disney Gift Cards there for 96 dollars, consolidating them on the Disney Gift Card website, and purchasing the tickets on disneyworld.com. I also have bought tickets from Undercover... The gift cards were cheaper this time. I bought 2 adult 3 day base though, which were 615 with tax on the disneyworld.com, so I saved 24 dollars from doing the gift card dance. 4 dollars saved per gift card times 6 hundreds needed (although I bought seven gc's for the record).

I pay for my cruises the same way. It's a little work. Not gonna lie.

Not much discounting to be had on tickets, I'm afraid.
