2 credit meals with 2008 DDP

It seems to me that the elimination of the appetizer and gratuity makes it silly to use two credits for a table service. Last year, we ate at California grill and both ordered the $17-$20 sushi appetizers. That made using two credits economical. Now, with the average cost of an entree being $35 it doesn't make any sense to use two credits. We will be paying out of pocket for all two credit meals this April.
It seems that Disney should have thought about this before eliminating the appetizer and gratuity. Any thoughts?

I agree. I think it does make buffet and fixed price dinners more of a "deal" though. The only 2 TS credit places that may be worth it now are CRT (especially if you are visiting with children) and the dinner shows (HDDR, Luau, and Mickey's BBQ....again, especially if you are visiting with children.
I can't see how it would be worth it to use 2 TS credits at the Brown Derby anymore, even on the Fantasmic package and that still includes a starter.
