Well, I just finished my trip report for my last trip (An Alaskan cruise!) so I decided to start a pre-trip report for my next trip. I love posting trip reports because I get to remember everything we did, look at pictures, and just share the trip with everyone. So to start this one, here is a bit of background.

I grew up in New Jersey, my cousin in Colorado. We did not get to see each other alot, basically just for weddings and funerals. A few years ago, my cousins, aunt, and uncle came for a bit of a longer visit. While we were visiting with them, Shannon and i realized we were alot alike. We were acting the same way, saying alot of the same things, and just acting like we were always together. The entire family was shocked at how similar we were, for growing up across the country from each other. Since then, we have visited back and forth more often. I flew out there for 2 of my cousins weddings last August 2007 and March 2008. She came out for for Christmas to visit with the family (Our family is huge and everyone else lives pretty close to me).

My grandmother (not Shannon's--grandma from my mom's side) told me that I couldh ave a week in a timeshare anywhere that I wanted to go. I also had a credit for airfare that I needed to use by August. So I called Shannon and convinced her that she needed a vacation! So we started talking about where we wanted to go--we went between an island in the caribbean, vegas, and florida...Finally, we decided on a week in Florida. While looking at the timeshare properties, we decided on Polynesian Isles. This is my first time staying offsite, so I am kind of nervous, since i am SO used to being onsite.

So we have been planning this trip for a few months and it is finally almost here! We leave next weekend!!! So I would love to write a trip report when we get back, so thanks for reading along..

Up next, ill tell you the "plans" and some more about Shannon and I

So i have a bit of time before I have to get ready to go out so I will "introduce" Shannon and I

First--Me! Im Jen, 23 years old. I live in New Jersey and I am a teacher. I love traveling--must of the time I go to Disney or on cruises. I just got back in May from an Alaskan cruise and I am going on another in January--LOVE vacations!

Shannon is my older cousin--she is 25 and lives in Colorado. She is a secretary and loves traveling as well. I know she has been to Vegas recently, but also loves Disney--Id love to try to get her on a cruise with my family sometime soon

So that is us!

Yeah! Another TR from Jen! :woohoo: Thanks for getting it started. Now...we want details!! What are your plans?:confused3

Hi ladies! thanks for stopping by--i know its boring so far, which is why you two are the only ones posting--good thing you love me..so here are some plans!

As i said, we are staying at Polynesian Isles. We have never been there, but the pictures look beautiful! We have purchased (from AAA) 4 day park hopper for Disney, 1 day Seaworld, and 1 day Universal/Islands of Adventure. We are not sure what park we will be visiting on which days. I think we are just going to decide each day. Or just figure it out when we get to Florida.
We decided not to make reservations for dining--i think we are going to get some food for the rooms and just eat counter service or at off site restaurants.

I have never been to Florida in the middle of summer so its going to be interesting to see how it is--but im so excited! i cannot believe it is one week away!

Of course, now i see a tropical storm is brewing, so I have to watch that...but not that there is anythign i can do about it!!

Hi Jen!

I hope you have a great trip.:cool1:  :cloud9:

So we are now finally 2 days away! This week, I have been checking my airfare daily, since I have been reading about alot of people's flights being changed without notification.
The other day, I noticed that my airfare was down about 67.00. I had read on the boards that Airtran offered acredit if the price went down. SO i called and got a 57.00 credit(the booking fee was taken out).

Now my flight was supposed to land in Orlando 2 hours after my cousins flight. So she was going to be waiting at the airport for me. There was another flight that woud land in orlando at the same time. But it was too expensive when I booked, and now there was a 75.00 change fee. When I called for my credit, they told me that I could get to to airport early and pay 25 dollars to switch to the flight , or go on standby.

So now i raelized I could use my 57.00 credit towards the 75.00 change fee and not have to worry about it on Saturday. So i called to switch, and they said it was 55.00 as the flight was cheaper! So I just paid 10.00 to reserve my seats and i am set! So my cousin and I will be landing at the same time!

I have a bunch of errands and some cleaning to do today/tomorrw but i am ready to go..Thanks for reading and if i dont get back here before i leave, "see" you when i get home!

YEAH!!! It's almost here!! I know you'll have a GREAT time! You know you better call me if you receive any dreams!

I'm sure you guys are having a wonderful time!!! :yay:
