2 contracts question

I think we are going to take advantage of the F&F before the month ends.

My plan was to get 300 pts but really can't afford it just yet and honestly may not need so many for at least 3-4 years (we hope we will have baby # 2 next year).

So, I thing the 150 will do well for now because there will surely be a year we don't travel while I am pregnant. Right now we only have one son who turns 2 in 2 weeks.

I am reading that any like the idea of having 2 contracts for many reasons but here is a question I can't find an awnser to:

With 2 contracts spit into different resorts, can I then book 11 months out in either and transfer points to the other account if need be?

I would love to buy the 2nd as a resale for BC or BW and the 1st a SSR....

You would book the resort using the points you have at 11 months out. You can borrow from the next use year for that resort, if needed. You can always try to add-on at 7 mos. to that reservation with points from the other resort. I don't think you can transfer points from one contract to another or there would be no reason for people with contracts at different resorts to worry about the 11/7 month windows. Yoy can transfer points to another member using their member number but you shouldn't be able to transfer points from one contract to another for the same member (as far as I know). We used to have 2 contracts at 2 resorts and I just used the points for each to book at 11 mos. and the other for 7 mos. or less out. I would advise purchasing 150 for now and think about an add-on later as you need it.

We have points at three different resort. 300 at OKW, 100 at BCV and 100 at VWL. We used current year points and borrowed next year points to make a seven day reservation at VWL for Thanksgiving. 200 points weren't quite enough to get all seven days in a one bedroom, so we got the first few days in a studio and at 7 months will use a few more points from one of our other resorts to get them as a one bedroom.

We started out with 175 points and added 75 more, then 50 more. Then we got the two 100 point contracts. Should we decide we don't need so many points, we can sell off one of those contracts.
