Problem #1 ((and I couldn't possibly have seen this comming)) DD2 insisted on bein carried all day, every day
We rented a stroller, which I ended up pushing around w all of our stuff in it, insead of the 2y old sitting in it as she was supposed to.
Problem #2, (and I should have known and/ or remembered this one~) EVERYTHING AT WDW IS UPHILL. The resorts, and all 4 parks had me pushing uphill, more often than not, it seemed
ASMO wasnt as bad as the parks
For those of you with upcomming trips, here are a couple of tips that I would like to pass along about bus transportation~
Be prepared to stand on the bus. Comming or going, this applies to all 4 parks, any day of the week. Early morning, mid-morning, early evening, or at park closing.
Also about the busses, it isnt as easy as it sounds to bring your stroller on the bus. Being that its likely that you wont have a seat, its a balancing act
We did this for the first 2 days, than gave up and rented
We did have a good time, and all 3 of us enjoyed ourselves (4 if you count my GF who joined us for 3 days) I just wasnt expecting the trip to be as much back breaking, exhausting work as it was. It was a labor of love, I suppose.
For those of you bringing tots for the first time, be prepared to adjust your plans to suit them, or suffer the consequences
My DD2 was fascinated with all of the water play areas ( the pool area at the resort, and areas such as Ariels Grotto as well) I anticipated this and had a couple of dry outfits on me with her for each day)
We were lucky with DD, as she wasnt afraid of any of the rides and or shows we went to (not scared of the dark, or noise, not even the witch from Snow White)
It was hot (which I expected, as a Floridian), and the heat as well as all of the work of pushing/ carrying uphill all day wore us out quite thoroughly by dinner (we actually cancelled twice)
Our resort (ASMO) was adequate. It was bright, festive, and loud 24/7 (not in the room, but the lobby)
The pool area was gorgeous, and the food court was adequate, with lots of seating
We didnt get to see everything, although we were there for 2 days at each park. Between sleeping untill 8 some days, and leaving at 4 a couple of times (left at 1 on Friday to start the drive home) We also stopped for photos quite a few times, and only stayed in the parks after dinner (which was around 5) once, to see Spectro and Wishes, which are beautiful)
We had a great time, and will go again, in a couple of years when DD is 4 or maybe 5
Maybe then DD15 will want to go to, for one last family trip
