2 Bedroom Villas at BWV

We are looking at staying at BWV there is two families going 2 adults 2 children in each family, total 8 people. We are thinking of renting a 2 bedroom villa. I cant seem to figure out if there are 2 actual bedrooms with king beds and then a pull out sofa??? How many bathrooms does the 2 bedroom have? Can some one please give me some info... If anyone has ever stayed at a 2 bedroom I would love some help.

I don't think any of the 2 BR units at any DVC would work well for your needs though they all would be doable. In part it depends on the age and gender of the children and how cozy everyone wants to be. OKW will be the closest to your physical plant needs because it's a larger unit with 2 queens in the second BR and a full sized kitchen. All Master BR at DVC will have a King bed and the LR will have a pullout queen. BWV may be the worst because all units are lockoff's with a queen and pull out love seat in the second. All other than OKW will have a much more cozy but fully functional kitchen though the table arrangements are extremely tight for that size group, again BWV may be the worst in this area. Then you get into who pays what because one family gets a much better arrangement than the other one.

both VWL and BCV had a dedicated (must ask for the dedicated) with 2 queen beds.

however BCV only has 25 total 2-bedroom dedicated with a queen beds. if you want this one - you need to try at the 11 month time.

When you say dedicated, you mean 2 seperate bedrooms, correct? or 2 seperate beds?

lock out is a 1-bedroom and a studio put together - that is all that BWV has.

dedicated is a 2-bedroom - no outside door on the studio, no kitchenett in the studio, no balcony in the studio. but you do get 2-queen beds instead of a queen and double sleeper sofa.

we are traveling with 2 other families (3 total)
1 family 2 adults (DH is father to 13 yr boy in family #2)
2nd family 2 adults 2 boys 5yr and 13 yr
3rd family 2 adults 1 16yr girl 1 13 yr boy
1 family is a member and has a 1 bedrm so 2 13yr boys are staying in that room with the other family.
The other 2 families are looking into sharing a 2 bedrm villa.
I was assuming a 2 bedrm would be a sitting area with 2 seperate bedrms with 1 king in each bedrm each bedrm with doors. Sorry this is so confusing... But thank you all for your information and help

So it seems you are 4 adults (2 couples) and a 5 year old boy and 16 year old girl.

You will have a Master BDR with a King Bed.
You will have a 2nd BDR with a Queen Bed and Sleeper Sofa.
You will have a Living Room with a Sleeper Sofa.

So it seems there are enough beds. We don't like using the Living Room sleeper as a bed though because it means we can't use the kitchen later, sit up and read, talk - ya know - actually live. So we usually pack an air mattress and sheets and use it for our youngest daughter. There is room in either room for a single air mattress.

There are floorplans for each villa type at each resort and 360-degree tours of each villa type at each resort on the public DVC website: http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/index Select a resort under "See our resorts". Then click on "Accommodations". Click on a link for a villa type to bring up the floorplan. Between the floor plans and the 360-degree tours, you can get a good idea of how much living space you will have and you can see the number of beds and sleeper sofas available.

What I think you'd end up doing....

One couple would get the king bed and a room to themselves

Their children (or two children) would sleep on the pullout in the livingroom.

This group would share a bathroom.

The other family would get the second bedroom - queen bed, full pullout and bathroom.

Its certainly workable - but obviously one set of adults gets a better deal.

A 2BR unit has a master bedroom with a king size bed and a full bath, which includes shower, jacuzzi tub, one sink in the bathroom and one sink in the dressing area. There is a queen size pull out couch in the living room. There are 2 queen size beds in the 2nd bedroom, along with another full bath.

Only OKW has a guarantee of getting two queen sized beds in the second bedroom.

Some DVC info on the rooms.

Dedicated 2 bedrooms have only one outside door. Inside the villa you have a kitchen, dining area and living room with sofa sleeper.

Master bedroom and bath with jacuzzi and shower and toliet. This is a very large bath.

The second bedroom will have either 2 queen beds or one queen and full sofa sleeper and a bath with toliet and tub and sink area either just outside the bath or inside the bath.
OKW: will have the 2 queen beds
SSR: will have the 2 queen beds
BCV: only has 25 dedicated 2br villas with 2 queen beds, everything else has the bed and sofa bed.
VWL: will have 2 queen beds
BW does not have any dedicated 2 bedroom units.

Lock off units: are a one bedroom unit, and a studio unit combined with a connecting door off the living room area. This unit will have 2 outside doors.
All 2 bedrooms at the BW are lock off.
