Need help deciding. Two bedroom at Kidani or Jambo? Please give details as to how they r different

Depends on the needs/makeup of your family!

Kidani:
-larger living space
-three bathrooms, including super awesome master ensuite with separate jet tub and large shower
-you can choose from a dedicated 2-bedroom (with two queen beds in 2nd bedroom) or 2-bedroom lock off (1-bedroom attached to a studio)
-no value or CL 2-bedrooms at Kidani

Jambo:
-no dedicated 2-bedrooms, so all of them are a 1-bedroom attached to a studio
-Jambo House has the quick service restaurant, larger lobby and larger store
-CL and value 2-bedrooms are available, but go quickly at 11 month mark

also, all jambo house villas are on the 5th floor. if you wanted to be closer to the animals, kidani gives you a chance at lower floors.

jambo house has jiko and boma (and mara, the only quick service option at AKV). kidani has sanaa for table service only.

I would do kidani over jambo . The master bath in a 2 br at kidani just takes the cake for me .

agree - plus like the extra bathroom.

Kidani is alot bigger than Jumbo

no quick service - but you do have a full kitchen.

so you can order groceries

I have only stayed at Kidani. We chose it because I feel the rooms are a little nicer there (said without real life experience). The kicker was that the one bedroom portion at Kidani sleeps 5, while at Jambo House, some are 4 and I didn't want to take that chance (since our party fit in the stated room limit for a 2br overall, no guarantee.).

I would prefer to try Jambo House next time because the pool is much better there and there is a general feeling of more to do. It is not quick and easy to walk between the two. It's close to a mile on the walking path. Jambo House also has the value villas that can save you a lot of points if you're willing to sacrifice a little square footage and roll the dice on the view.

Are you able to use either pool, regardless of if you stay at Jambo or Kidani?

Here's my take on the two resorts:
Comparison of Jambo and Kidani

Jambo:
large impressive lobby, larger gift shop
busier atmosphere
larger pool, wimpy slide (IMHO)
steam room in workout area
counter service at Mara
value and concierge rooms
rooms retrofitted from existing hotel rooms
Master bath has shower/jetted tub combo plus toilet in one room (toilet is split off)
Parking in lots
Bus to DTD first stop
Rooms on 5th floor, except for 5 2br lockoffs on 6th for concierge

Kidani:
smaller, more intimate lobby and gift shop
quieter atmosphere
splash area at pool, and better slide (IMHO)
rooms designed for DVC
extra bath in one and two bedrooms
separate shower and jetted tub in master bath
community hall
Under building parking
Park buses first stop
Rooms on floors 2 through 4

Yes you can use facilities at either Jambo or Kidani as they are considered one resort, and often transportation is offered between the two. I have a preference for the CMs at the pool at Kidani, but others will differ. I also love the steam room at Jambo.

For Kam at Jambo the only rooms that sleep 4 are Values and they are a booking category. You would not be surprised with one.
