2 bedroom preffered BWV

We will be staying at BWV we have a 2 bedroom prefferd view.
Given the choice what room would you select.
We are from brooklyn so a little noise will not be a problem.

Make a few requests that you can live with - non smoking/smoking, handicapped/non-handicapped, pool view/Boardwalk view. Anymore than that and you are bound to be disappointed when you don't get even a basic request.

Now a Boardwalk View is it's own catagory just like standard and preffered rooms. If you didn't get a Boardwalk view when the ressie was made then you would have to be put on a wait list.

No more point involved but you can no longer just request a Boardwalk view.

If you did not get a guaranteed Boardwalk view room, but really like that area of the resort, ask for a view of the Village Green. Those rooms are considered Preferred - Pool/Garden View.

The Village Green is the lawn between the BWI/BWV lobby and the boat dock. Rooms are on the floors above the Wyland Gallery and the "arch/walkway" that goes past the arcade to the main pool. Rooms in this area have partial views of the Boardwalk and views of the higher fireworks from Illuminations.

The first time my family and I stayed at the BWV we had a 1 bedroom with a Boardwalk view. We liked it so much, we felt it was worth the points to get it the next two times.

With two small children it proved invaluable for the grown-ups. When the children needed to take a nap, sleep a little late, or pass out from exhaustion earlier than the usual bedtime, my DH and Iwould sit on the balcony, sipping gin and tonics and watch the parade of people below. Some nights we caught part of Illumninations.

That said, as our kids get older and I anticipate spending less time in the room, I may be more amenable to a lesser view. For me, the value in the DVC accommodations lies in the kitchens and in room laundry facilities.
