2 bedroom lockoff question?

Hi. We are making our first trip home to VWL in August. We have booked a 1 bedroom and then a 2 bedroom lockoff. What are the chances that we will not have to move and will be able to stay in the one bedroom for the whole stay? How can we increase our chances of not having to move? Thanks for any help!

There are 27 dedicated 1 bedroom units and 45 lock offs at the VWL, so the first thing to check is that you don't have a reservation for a dedicated 1 bedroom. If you do, obviously they can't make that into a 2 bedroom.

All you can do to improve your chances (assuming you have a 1 bedroom that is part of a 2 bedrrom lock off) is to have MS note your request on your reservation. Then repeat the request when you check in.

Of course there are no guarantees (someone would have to be checking out of the studio portion on the day you want the whole 2 bedroom), but I'm sure they will try to work it out for you.

We've requested the same thing at OKW in January. We are arriving 4 days before our friends. We had it noted on the reservation that we needed a lockoff so we could stay in the one bedroom portion.

On the trip we just returned from, I told them at the desk that we had two nights on an AP rate followed by five nights on points. They had us moving rooms, but found a room they could block our stay in for the seven nights. We didn't have to move, just check out and check back in.

But is your 1 bedroom a dedicated or lockoff? If it's a dedicated, then there is no lockoff door. They usually do not note this on the 1 bedroom reservation, you have to call member services and ask.
