2 bedroom in Dec

I am wondering what the availability is generally like at 7 months for a 2 bedroom in the first 2 weeks of December? We are looking into buying resale this year and would normally only use a 1br or studio but thinking we might wants to take some family to see the Xmas decor 1 year.

We would be perfectly fine booking our home resort at 11 months but I am just curious if there is normally any availability at 7. I know this is a very busy DVC time and I have seen a lot of threads about studios being very hard to get at 7 months but I have not been able to find a lot of info on the 2 beds.

First week of December is the first, and second week of December the third, highest DVC demand weeks of the year at WDW. At 7 months out for a 2BR, it will be difficult to impossible to get a 2BR at BWV, BCV, BLT, VWL, and VGF for the first two weeks of December and about 50/50 at AKV and OKW. SSR is likely to be open.

You should note for that time of year at 7 months out that the same applies to studios and 1BRs although the chances are better for 1BRs at AKV Kidani and OKW.

You should consider it important, if you own anywhere at WDW other than SSR, to reserve your home resort at 11 months out and then try to switch at 7 and that applies to studios, 1BRs and 2BRs. In fact, BLT standard view (all room sizes), AKV value and club level (also all room sizes), BWV standard and boardwalk view studios and 2BRs, and VGF studios have a real risk of being filled moments after 8 a.m. at 11 months out when online booking begins or even before 11 months out.
