Hi All,

Headed to BWI next week and have a BW view booked. Are all the two bedrooms on one floor or are they scattered on different floors?

Which floors would be preferable? I am hoping to get a higher floor, because the view is usually nicer, but have not stayed in a BW view unit yet. Any opinions?

I do realize that there may not be any units on high floors. Just wondering where the two bedrooms are, and what opinions/preferences are for this type of unit.

Thanks for any information you may provide!!

All two-bedroom units at Boardwalk are lockoffs. That means to create a two-bedroom villa, they combine a studio with a one-bedroom villa. And the studios and one-bedroom villas are back to back thoughout the resort.

We had a two-bedroom on the fourth floor, Crest 'o the Wave area. The view was extraordinary. Some people complain that the lower floors are more prone to noise. If that's a problem for you, just ask for an upper floor.

In regards to BWV, I believe all 2BRs are really 1BR/Studio lockoffs. If that is the case, they could be on any floor.

Not sure which BW view is most important to you. If it's the epcot fireworks, the crest-o-wave section has great views. If you want to either people watch or street-performer watch, the general store area is nice. I've heard the higher floors might be more shielded from the reveler noise late night.

All in all, all BW views are great!

I believe the units are scattered on all floors. One thing to keep in mind is that the rooms with nicer views are always furthest from the elevators. If you have any problem walking or have older grandparents traveling with you, you may want to skip the view for convenience and shorter distance from the elevators. After a long day at the parks, that long hallway walk to your room could be a killer!

The two bedroom boardwalk views (all lock-offs) begin just over the end of the general store next to the Big River Grille and continue down through the Crest of Wave. They are on floors 2 to 5 (5 is the top floor there), and I believe there is now one on the boardwalk level (1st floor) at Crest of Wave. Views are fine from all of them although I would probably avoid that one on the boardwalk level.

Actually, I know there is at least one 2 bdrm on the ground floor. We had one a year ago when we brought family down. It's right where the old (large) DVC office was and next to the newer small DVC office.

High up and at the end of the hall seem to have the best Illuminations view. However, they are also the farthest from the pool and the lobby. There are stairs at that end of the building that can make the trips a lot shorter, but no elevators, so you need to be willing to walk four (five?) flights of stairs if you are going to save the elevator trips. All the rooms have a nice view of the Y&BC across the lake and I think you can see Spaceship Earth (and Soarin') from all the rooms.

The lower floors are a little noisier - rooms directly above the bars can be a little noisy when the bars let out. Rooms closer to the lobby get the noise from the boats and the games. A lot of people don't notice the noise when the doors are closed - but some people do so this is a YMMV situation.

I also have to note that we've NEVER had a room location request met. They seem to look at ours and assign us to the exact opposite room. If we ask for high floor, we can walk out our door to the pool. If we ask for "end of the hall, across from the bus stop" we get the room two doors off the lobby. Other people have had better luck.
