Curious...
(for 4 of us)
I'm looking into a "guy's trip" to the world and was
wondering...are there any 2 bdrm villas that have
2 beds per bedrm? I thought I'd seen some time back
that OKW offered that...am I right or wrong?

Reason being, I'd like a kitchen for us to use and
would perfer not to have someone's bed be
the couch should I be forced to get a 1-bdrm
and a studio.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

All 2 Bedrooms at OKW have 2 queen beds in the second (studio) of the 2 bedroom lockoff. Some, I believe 25, 2 bedrooms at the BCV have 2 Queen beds in the second bedroom as well. This is a specific booking category and it is quaranteed. It can be hard to get at 7 months.
Those are the only 2 that I know of. If there are others I am sure someone will chime in
Good Luck and have fun

I don't know of any that have 2 beds in both rooms at DVC but a solution to this is to bring an air mattress and throw it on the floor. Take turns being the guy on the floor.

I"m presuming we're talking about the 20 something crowd and 'roughing' it on an air mattress shouldn't be too hard. I am of course making 2 assumptions here:
1. Exeryone is healthy and can get up and down
2. and if one of you is an owner and offering the trip to your friends you get the Master Bedroom and a King bed to yourself.

So, you would say that these same resorts/villas have two beds in the 1BR. Just trying to keep all the room-types straight.

All OKW's will have 2 beds in the second bedroom.

At most other resorts all the dedicated 2 br's will have 2 beds in the second BR except BCV where only a few of the dedicated 2BR's have that arrangement. BWV doesn't have any dedicated so no rooms will have 2 beds.

There aren't any 2Br's that have the setup you are talking about so someone would need to sleep on the sleeper in the living area if you are to each have your own bed. AKV and BLT also have sleeper chairs in the living room if any of you are on the slighter side. My college age nephews have slept on those and survived. And actually one of them is 6'3"! It's not really recommended for someone that tall though. :rotfl:

Or a GV will solve your problems. Otherwise 2 studios at OKW will give you 4 beds but no kitchen and the rooms may not be close together.

No. All 1BR's have a king in the master bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. AKV (except value category) and BLT also have a sleeper chair in the living room.

So no villa has two beds in the 1 Bedroom (in the bedroom).

No, and in that regard, OKW studios are a bit of a step up, since they DO have 2 queen beds. All master bedrooms though, have 1 king bed in the master, and I for one hope they always do!:thumbsup2

For clarity:
OKW 1 bedroom has one "real" king bed in the master and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the living room, as do all DVC 1 bedroom villas. The difference is BLT and AKV have a second sleeper "chair" in the living room.

All OKW 2 bedroom villas have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, as do some of the BCV dedicated 2 bedroom units. I believe all other resorts that have dedicated 2 bedroom units will also have the 2 queens in the second bedroom. That means the only one that does NOT have that is BWV, since all BWV units are lock offs, and no dedicated 2 bedrooms there.

Lock-off means the studio with the connecting door, right? So then the studio at BWV only has one bed as well? And a sleeper sofa, I assume? How does a family of more than two get a studio at BWV? Or maybe my idea of a 2 BR is wrong.

2 people sleep on the bed and the other sleep on the sofa bed.

A studio will be 1 room with a bathroom- normally (except OKW) it has a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa. It also has a small kitchenette closer to the bathroom section.

A 1 bedroom has a master bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom that includes a jacuzzi tub, and a living room with a double(possibly) queen sleeper sofa. AKV(except values) and BLT also have a sleeper chair in the living room. AKV (Kindani only) and BLT also have a 2nd bathroom off the living room. In the living room area this contains a full kitchen.

A 2 bedroom lockoff is made up of a studio and 1 bedroom. If it is a dedicated 2 bedroom (except at some of BCV) then it should have a second bedroom (instead of the studio portion) that contains 2 queen size beds.

You can't get a DVC Villa with 4 regular(non-sofa) beds except for a Grand Villa.

Unless you want to reserve a Grand Villa, you'll need to reserve two studios at OKW for each of you to have his own real bed.

You do have another option. SSR treehouses are three bedrooms for the point cost of a 2BR and it has four beds, one each in two of the bedrooms and bunk beds in the third.

I guess the guys would have to flip a coin to see who got the queen sized beds and who got stuck with the little tiny bunk beds.
