2 Bdrm OKW advice needed

Boy, oh, boy. If you posted this on the DVC Forum, it would be locked by now. The 2 bedroom sleeps 8 plus one infant under 3. That's it. You get bedding for 8, towels for 8 (one bath towel for each person) and dishes for 8. As for a non-DVC member getting a 3 bedroom unit, that's almost unheard of unless you rent points. And you have to make that request 11 months out from your date of departure. You could also add a studio, then you would have plenty of room.

The one bedroom has a king sized bed. The other bedroom has two queen sized beds. The sleeper sofa is queen sized. You will have two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, plus a full kitchen. The love seat does not open up into a bed.

The 2 BR we stayed at had 2 double beds/1 King bed and a couch in the living room- I can't remember if the couch made into a bed or not- I would assume so- I don't know if they have 2BR with 4 doubles- you might want to call and check- we went with my sister's family- 3 in hers and 4 in mine and we had plenty of room.

The configuration for OKW 2BDRs are 1 king-size bed, 2 queen-size beds, and a sofa bed. There are no 2BDRM units that have 2 beds as a replacement for the king.

Enjoy your stay!

The OKW 2 bedroom villas are the most spacious of the villas, and are larger than many peoples' homes! The living area is large enough that an extra person could easily sleep on the floor on an air mattress or sleeping bag. DVC members would overwhelmingly flame you for doing this, but there is certainly enough room. If some of your guests include children, you could probably put 3 on the sleeper sofa alone! You will love the master bedroom with the king bed, whirlpool bathtub and a sink, and another double sink in the main part of the bathroom. And a laundry room!! I am in love with the laundry room! Golfers in your group will love watching the golfers, and they are often a hoot for the rest of us, too. It's one of DVC's most relaxing and quaint resorts, with an elegance all its own. After a stay here, you will find it difficult to "downgrade" back to a regular luxury room. :p

First of all, welcome to the DIS.

The 2-bedroom villas are a 1-bedroom and a studio villa combined. Here are some pictures.

Studio villa.

The door that opens to the studio from the 1-bedroom is just across the hall from the kitchen.

Thank you for this post. We are staying at WDW for the first time this July. We have a 1 bedroom at OKW booked. There are 4 of us DH, myself, DS 16 and DD 13. I know we are going to have a great time. Thanks for the great pix.

We had a 2 bedroom booked last year in october at OKW. We actually had 9 people also and I was not worried about the extra child who had just turned 4 in october. When we arrived to check in they actually upgraded us to a grand villa without any request and no charge. The grand villa is huge and has 3 br and 4 baths on two levels. We had a great stay and it will be tough to stay anywhere else on our next visit. The whole resort is great and I am sure the 2 br would be big enough for your party.
