We are going to be in a 2 bdr lockoff unit at Kidani. My family is leaving one night early, but our guests are staying the entire booked stay. Can I drop the last night to a studio and they stay in the same room and not have to move since it is a lockoff?

In the past, folks here say to ask at checkin, and there were no guarantees. I wonder since now the reservation number can stay the same if it's more likely to happen the way you want it to. I would call MS and ask! It would save you some points!

That will involve a change in your reservation since you will need to cancel the 2BR for the last night and make a new reservation for the Studio - but MS should be able to accommodate that for you.

Good luck! :)

I would call MS first to see if a studio is available. If it is, I would try it and save the points. MS can "link" the two reservations together so it could be possible your guests may not have to change rooms. We have done this before, but opposite, we would have the studio on the first day and then the 2bdrm the rest of the visit. Just ask at check-in. There is no guarantee of course, but this also saves mousekeeping from having to clean an extra room. Good luck!! :thumbsup2

We're doing the opposite in Oct. We have a studio at BWV the first night and then a 2 br the next 7. Since BWV is all lock offs, we plan to ask if we can get a studio next to an empty 1 br or a 1 br that is checking out the next day so we don't have to move.

Since it is Oct. BWV will be at capacity, but we will ask.

We are in standard view and both reservations are the same reservation number, so I'm hopeful we'll get some ofmthat pixie dust.

We had a 2BR at the BWV and my DS left the day before. We had more trouble trying to stay in the 1BR after she left. We booked 11 months out had the request on the reservation. When we checked in we reiterated again about the request to stay in the 1 BR after the studio was vacated. We were on the phone until 10pm the last night ,my husband went down to the lobby the next morning. He called MS. We ended up having to store our luggage and then they moved us to a room all the way down the end of the hall. Had to have our bags brought up again having to pay another bell man. It really was frustrating the last day. We thought we did everything right and it turned out all wrong. Just beware that nothing is guarenteed.

That's a shame. Since it could and often happens this way, you have to decide if the point savings is worth the aggravation!

With BWV, many of the studios and 1 bedrooms are dedicated. So it's possible your studio or 1 bedroom reservation is for a dedicated and many times they can't just switch it to a lockoff.

BWV - 97 Dedicated Studios - 130 Dedicated 1Bdrm - 0 Dedicated 2Bdrm - 149 Lockoffs - 7 Grand Villas = 383 Units / 532 Max. Available Rooms
