We are staying at Wilderness Lodge in September from the 20th thru the 28th. We are all ready planning to hit up Artist Point one night....

I am toying with one of the options from the poll to try as well. Which of these would two adults wanting some as adult friendly quiet moments should we choose? I want to stay in the MK vicinity.

California Grill, Narcoose's, Citricos, Ohana's......
Thanks!!!:lovestruc

Certainly NOT California Grill. Unless you are in the wine room it is really noisy and hectic. I know you wanted to stay in the MK area but I would take a trip to Jiko or Blue Zoo as they tend to be a little more adult oriented.

I disagree. My husband and I loved California Grill. The food was amazing and we were able to watch the fireworks from the observation deck. WE would highly recommend it.

1) Of your choices, Citricos is the only real option.
2) The others are pretty loud and/or noisy.
3) The best choices on-site for adult-type eateries are
. . . Bistro de Paris (France, upstairs)
. . . Blue Zoo
. . . Shula's
. . . Citricos
. . . Victoria & Albert's

We are saving Jiko for our 2009 trip, when we stay at AKL again.... But thank you for the suggestions!!! I am excited about all the input!:wizard:

My husband and I liked Narcoossee a lot. We felt it was more quiet and we enjoyed the "ambiance" here better than at CA Grill. We watched Wishes from our table, we were also able to catch the electric water parade.

With that being said... We loved CA grill. It was bright and noisy, but we loved the food. Narcoossee was more quiet and darker, but the food (while excellent) was not as good.

For MK area, the only one of these I would consider you have a chance of a quiet dinner at would be Citricos. CA Grill has good food so we go there for the food but certainly not for the atmosphere as it's always a zoo in there. Narcoosees food is not that good. If you love seafood, you can get better at other places that also have a better atmosphere.

I would go for V&A if you are really looking for romance. After that, I'd have to say Bistro at Epcot or for seafood, bluezoo at the Dolphin.

Narcooses.....followed by some drinks in the lounge in the grand floridian with some live jazz music....I promise you your night will end well;)

I agree with Rusty Scupper--only Citricos comes close to being quiet. And if there happens to be a lot of kids the night you go, that's out as well. Blue Zoo and Shulas CAN be quiet--unless the SWan/Dolphin are hosting meetings--then both restaurants can be full of loud expense account types.
